Chapter Six

All of us were sitting outside. It was pretty much deserted because its only 3 in the morning.

"Why did we have to wake up so early?" I whined.

"Because, if today is the coronation, we have to be ready." Mal said, looking at the spell book.

Evie looked at the spell book," You want to undo the love spell?" Evie asked.

We all looked at Mal.

"Yeah, I mean, when we're taking over the world, him still being in love with me just seems.. a little extra cruel." Mal said. When she said that we all realized that none of us really wanted to do this. Mal has never cared about being extra cruel. 

'Why are we doing this?" I asked. Trying to figure out why we're still doing this if we don't want to.

"Because of our parents." Mal answered. Its not like our parents actually care about us. 

"Oh, yeah." I said while rolling my eyes.

"I'll.. be right back." I said while walking into the school building. I made it all the way upstairs, then I sat on my bed. I don't really want to go home. I want to stay here. I want to be with Jay, and be a cheerleader. Why do we have to go back? Why cant we just forget about it? They can't even get to us here.

Someone knocked on the door. I got up and opened the door. It was Ben, no surprise there.

"Is Mal here?" He asked.

"No, why? I can take a message." I told him.

"No, its okay. I'll just talk to her later." He said while walking away.

Okay then..

I went back outside, since I told them I would go back.

"What took you so long?" Mal asked me.

"Ben came. He was looking for you." I told her.

"What did he say?" She asked.

"He said he will talk to you later." I said.

"Oh, okay." Mal said.

*A couple minutes before the coronation*

I was beginning to get REALLY nervous. My hands were getting sweaty, and i was beginning to have second thoughts.

"You okay?" Jay asked.

I didn't answer.

"Hello??? Earth to Harper." Jay said while waving his hand infront of my face.

I snapped back to reality," Yes?"i finally asked.

"You weren't responding." Jay said.

"Did you miss me?" I joked.

"Nah, not really." He said. I rolled my eyes while smiling.

"Anyways, what are you thinking about." He asked.

"Just about how happy I am for the coronation! Can't wait to take the wand and leave this place. Only to return to my loving mother!" I said sarcastically.

"Yeah, I dont think anyone of us wants to do this." Jay said.

I finally said what i had been thinking," Whats going to happen to us?" I asked him.

"Well the five of us are just going to go back to life as nor-" he started but was cut off.

"No i mean.. us." I said while motioning the two of us. 

"Oh, I-I dont think it will work. Our parents aren't very fond of 'love'." He said.

"Yeah." I said while looking down at my feet.
