Harry P.O.V
I pick myself up and look back at her timid face. She doesn't make eye contact, just stays focused on the table. Maybe she doesn't need my help, maybe she's right. I walk out, emotionally, hearing Ashley call for me but I ignore her, I don't know what to do. All I know is I have other priorities right now. Three hours of serving annoying customers yippee.

"Harry, I need you to grab some milk, we've run out." Dad shouts from the kitchen.
It's 8pm and he expects me to go get milk? I sigh as I chuck my headphones on to my bed and reach for my black jacket, swinging it on whilst jogging down the stairs and out of the door. After this afternoon's incident, I'm really confused, I like Ashley but she doesn't look at me like that, never has, so what can I do about it? I can't force her to like me.
Deciding against going to the bigger all night supermarket I head to the corner shop just up ahead. Walking slowly, kicking at the floor, I see a worker changing the open sign to closes. I jog to the door as she nearly closes it. I kick my foot between the doors so it doesn't shut.
"I'm sorry we're shut-" She looks up at me with a slight recognition.
She has short black hair with purple tips which make her small round pale face look even more paler than it actually is. She's cute in a sisterly way I guess. When I think back hard enough I remember that I may have seen her at that party a few days ago...
"Wait...Aren't you Max's friend?" She looks me up and down as if examining me.
"Yea, I'm Harry."
"Harry, yeah, you looked familiar. I suppose I could let you in for a few minutes." She smiles and I return it with one of my own.
Opening the door, I walk in and head straight to the fridge section to pick up some milk. As I make my way to the counter, the aisle of alcohol catches my eye. I really need a few...Scrap that, I need a lot! Juggling the six pack of mini cans and milk, I'm ready to pay.
"Having a party are we?" She looks amused as she swipes the barcodes.
"Na, just me I'm afraid."
"Oh...Well I'm free, you can stay here?" I stop searching my pockets for money and look at her expression. Her emotions reflect the loneliness in her eyes.
"Yeah sounds good, are you sure?" I ask.
"Yeah, I haven't any plans and I just have to stack shelves 'till eleven. It will be nice to have you here and get to the now the most talked about boy in school." A small smile appears on her face.
"What's this most talked about boy in school aye?" I ask as I swing and sit on a stool from an abandoned cashier.
"Yeah, it seems nearly every girl wants you and the boys envy you."
I rub my lip and chuckle. "Ah, well what can I say?" I pull up my collar and wink at her.
"Well for starters you could pay me £24.50." She laughs as she locks the cigarette cabinet behind her.
I give her the money as she smiles. She has a cute smile. Her fringe sways on her forehead; her cheeks look soft and pink. Her eyes replicate glass marbles, so sharp and full of detail.
I open a can and look back at her. She's still fiddling with papers behind the cashier. I get up and make my way behind there to join her. She looks up at me as I pull her wrists away from the paper and pull her away. Still holding her wrists, I lead her to where I was sitting moments ago. I slip my hands down to her waist, slowly picking her up and lifting her onto the counter. She smiles and looks down. I pick up her chin and say, "Have a drink first and I'll help you with your work."
