2013

IT'S the day when I turn seventeen. The day when more and more creatures appear upon my eyes but to no one else. I started to see unlikely creatures by the time I was five years old. When I told my parents they began to think I was just playing tricks with them so they played along and told me they could see them too, and so I believed them. Well that was a big mistake on my part; I told them what I saw, what they thought I was imagining. Soon later the vision my mind placed began growing and so was my age, my parents thought I was foolish and took me to a therapist at the age of thirteen. The therapist told my parents it was probably from my dreams and I just had to tell them what it was about. I knew I was different, I just didn't know why.

At the age of sixteen my parents took me to live with my grandparents for a while. It was like they had enough of me and my vision. I didn't mind though, I never went to school so I didn't have to worry about the friends. My computer and I stayed in the basement studying on some online academy, where I started online college at the age of sixteen. I had plenty of time at home, I read books, listened to music, all sorts of stuff.

Today my parents were coming to my grandmas for my birthday, it was sort of a normal thing now, they only come on holidays. Grandma has been buzzing all day about my parents coming in but all I wanted to do was sit down and read, and most importantly, find out more about my vision. Each year I grow more people start to appear. Some were unlikely known and some looked like they lived in the human world. I always thought they were ghosts, as I could see and hear ghosts, but I guess that's foolish. My parents stopped caring for my visions ever since I've moved in with my grandparents.

"Dear, would you please run down and get me some flour and eggs from the market for your cake please?"

     "Yes, grandma."

Every since I've moved in I've been slightly more social, I mean I go outside more. I have no friends, I don't think there is a need for them, although, the market people know my name.

I picked up my keys from the counter and ran over to my car that my parents gave me at the age of  sixteen on my birthday. I started the engine, put in a decent CD, and started to make my way towards the market. Once I arrived, I could already see people starting to appear and disappear like magic, it was probably my vision problem.

I shut the car door shut and I slightly run inside as it started to sprinkle. As I make my way down to the fridges that hold the eggs I notice two men guarding another human. As I walk down the isle I notice that they are staring so I put my head down low. Just as they put their heads down I look up and take a sneak peek at all three men. They all looked very decent, I smirked and opened the fridge to grab the eggs. As I walk past them again I hear one of them say, "She looks delicious, my King," I freeze dead in my tracks and look at them.

"I don't know if your not around here but you never talk to a women like that, and there are no kings in America." I snap as I rush down the flower isle and toward the cash register. As I begin paying the three men start to walk towards me. Before I make it out of the store they catch up to me.

"Can you see us?" The blonde one asks.

"Your human, yes I can see you," I snap with attitude. "Now please leave me alone." I say walking out of the store and making my way back home.

Calum's Point Of View

"Sir, she is a danger to our kind. She can see us." Lord Luke whispers close to me.
