My Vampire Mate (A Jasper Whitlock Love Story)

Part 2

(Alex's POV)

As I walk down the streets people stare at me. The boys and some girls look at me with lust in their eyes and some look at me with jealousy.

I keep walking until I find an empty house. I use my powers to make the real estate lady appear and quickly buy the house. I turn and wipe everyone's memories about seeing a lady appear out of nowhere.

I walk into the house and shut the door not wanting anyone to see me use my powers. I make everything a house needs appear and be in the correct places. I sit down on my couch and sigh in satisfaction, maybe life on earth won't be so bad.

~The next day~

A knock on the door awakes me from my sleep. I walk to the door and open it to see a girl who looks my age smiling at me.

The girl has brown hair that flows down her back and chocolate brown eyes. She's pretty but seems a little too friendly.

"Hi I'm Bella, I'm your next door neighbor." She says happily. I'm just glad she's not uptight like the other angels, maybe we could be friends. I didn't have any friends in heaven, everyone was way too serious.

"I'm Alexis Reid but you can call me Alex." I say politely. Just as she opens her mouth to speak a beep cuts her off. I look over her shoulder to see a guy leaning against a silver Volvo.

I sniff the air and immediately tense, he's a vampire. His golden eyes throw me off but by his smell I can tell he's definitely a vampire.

He sniffs the air and immediately tenses. He doesn't know what I am. I'm guessing Bella is his human mate, will he change her?

"That's my boyfriend Edward, I have to go but I'll talk to you later." Bella says looking over at the vampire lovingly. I nod and watch as she gets in the car with him. Once he drives off I shut the door behind me and fall back onto my couch.

(Bella's POV)

I wonder why Alexis is living alone? Did her parents die? Did she just want to live alone? Does my presence bother her?

Edward's hands tighten on the wheel as he stares at the road. Edward is a vampire and I'm his mate. A few months ago he left me crying in the woods but we've gotten over it.

"What's wrong?" I ask curiously. I haven't been in the car for more then 5 minutes and he's already mad.

"That girl is not human but she's not a werewolf either. I can't read her mind either." He says sounding frustrated.

"Who Alexis? Do you think she's a threat?" I ask, I really want to be friends with her. She's probably harmless.

"I don't know but we will all discuss this as a family. Alice has probably already seen this so the family is probably already gathered in the living room." He says pulling into the driveway of the Cullen's house. Their house is beautiful, large and deep into the woods so they don't have to hide what they really are.

At vampire speed he's at my side of the car opening the door for me. I smile gratefully and step out of the car. We walk into the house and like Edward predicted everyone is sitting in the living room.

Carlisle and Esme sit in the love seat with Esme in his lap, Emmett and Rosalie sit next to each other on the couch and Jasper and Alice are standing. Carlisle and Esme are mates and Emmett and Rosalie are mates. Alice loves Jasper but Jasper only sees her as a sister.

"We're all here because there is a new girl in town that may or may not be dangerous." Edward announces, gasps fill the air as they all turn to look at each other.

"And why do you believe that?" Esme asks quietly. I can tell by the tone of her voice that she is scared.

"She's not a vampire and she's not a werewolf, I don't know what she is. She could be dangerous." Edward explains.

"Then let's go find out." Jasper suggests. Jasper has always been the quiet one, he's new to the vegetarian diet. The Cullen's only drink animal blood, that way they won't feel the guilt of killing humans.

"We'll leave tonight." Carlisle says with a nod of his head. He's the father figure of the family and Esme is like their mother.

"Come on." Edward says leading me upstairs.
