GENERAL LEE AND THE CONFEDERATE FLAG

In light of the recent Charlestown shooting, which was reportedly done at a traditionally black church by a white man, there has been a lot of memorabilia the 'equal rights' activists have been removing from stores. First, one such activist tore down a Confederate flag from a pole (and was consequentially arrested); next, Wal-Mart, among other companies; then, a major manufacturer who made the flag quit making it. But, I really didn't pay too much attention, but I did pay some, until two major events happened. First of all, a man was refused a Confederate Flag design for a cake with the words 'Heritage Not Hate' written on it, yet could get a cake with the ISIS flag? I mean, seriously? And next was the show with the good old boys, The Dukes of Hazzard, being pulled from TVLand on July the Second, as well as similar memorabilia being pulled from stores. The events of the ISIS cake will be mentioned, but we will be focusing on the events of The Dukes of Hazzard being pulled.

As for the cake incident, I only had one question; what in the heck? Wal-Mart will refuse to sell this man a Confederate flag cake, yet will sell him a cake with a flag celebrating the overseas terrorist group that is killing our men? There are no words to describe my opinion of this action. Now, I understand the situation of Charlestown, but isn't this too extreme? I mean, really? But, for corporate Wal-Mart to pull this stunt, they should know better. Then, they dare cover themselves with the old 'but we didn't know' excuse. Next thing you know, the equal rights activists will be burning these flags and killing people in possession of such, claiming them to be in the Ku Klux Klan. All over ONE shooting. An unjustified shooting, maybe, but so was this action. As thee guy who bought the cake said, "[they're] alienating Southern Americans by selling [that] trash in stores."

Now, for The Dukes of Hazzard. TVLand is sure to lose a lot of viewers siince they pulled this iconic classic. Anyone who lived back in the late-1970s and the 1980s who either, A) owned a television, or B) watched prime-time television, remembers this show. The Dukes of Hazzard had nothing to do with this shooting at all; in fact, it was about two boys, in trouble with a corrupted system all the time because of who they were, driving a 1969 Dodge Charger called 'The General Lee'. The show was banned for the Confederate flag on the roof of this car! To understand this, one must look back at the history of the Confederate flag and realize that it doesn't mean racism.

Back in the 1850s, the Southern states felt as if they had no control or say of the government. Therefore, when Lincoln was voted president of the Union, they felt that the final stake was wedged between the Union and them. Thus, the Confederate States of America, or the CSA, was born. They split from the Union and that was what sent the dominoes falling. Therefore, it is obvious that the flag itself doesn't mean racism, slavery, or hatred at all; it was a flag signifying resistance and political differences. Yes, slavery was a factor, but it was a minor issue in light of the economic and political rift between the USA and the CSA. And General Robert E. Lee was, in fact, one of the main and most noteworthy generals in the CSA, their Ulysses Grant.

So, when it comes to the General Lee and The Dukes of Hazzard show itself, it actually represents the government. Boss Hogg and his police department could be considered the USA. It has a corrupted economy and government run by corrupted people. So, the USA is sitting pretty, counting cash and in comes a brave force to match them; this would be the Duke boys and the General Lee, or the CSA. So, the USA is always trying, and always failing, to catch the 'crooks' and, when they are caught, they are always innocent and framed. Sound familiar to you?

And here we are today The government is even more corrupted, and much further down the hole, too, at 20 trillion in debt. And here the country is complaining about ISIS; well, if you listened to the founding fathers, who believed we should stay neutral, and didn't do foreign affairs, maybe ISIS wouldn't exist? But, that's for another lecture. Basicallly, what I am staying is that, by taking away pieces of history like the Confederate Flag and The Dukes of Hazzard, there will be nothing but hatred and spite towards the government. Also, this proves that the activists are wrong completely about this piece of history; just because some jerk woke up one morning and thought to hinself, "boy, my friends will think I'm cool when I shoot up this church and take pictures of the event with the Confederate flag in hand!", doesn't mean that this flag is an enemy, as it had to do with resistance and political differences between two parties. Therefore, by banning this flag, the activists are voiding the First Amendment and the right to your own political party. What it comes down to is this; either you are the ally of these activists, who have no regards to heritage at all, or the enemy, who sees through their propaganda. I end this lecture with one question; which are you?

I am the true patriot and if you don't agree, you already ARE a brainwashed government drone.Good for you. You no longer have a mind. If you don't agree with what I said, your government brainwashing cycle is done.

Enjoy being a close-minded shell.
