Death Metal

When someone talks about metal, one of the more interesting metal subgenres I speak of is 'Deth Metal'. There is a more traditional death, Corpsegrinder, and a more 'new-age' sounding death. While there is also Doom and other dark metals, I focus more on a grindcore, corpsegrinder sound, the likes of which includes Cannibal Corpse.

Traditional death metal includes Deicide, among others. Corpsegrinder is a special death metal which includes the classic Cannibal Corpse, among others. And new-age is stuff like Dying Fetus and Torsofuck.

New Age is the worst of the genre, in all honesty. They have the stupidest sounding songs, the biggest offender Torsofuck's "Raped By Elephants". You can't truly understand the lyrics and what you can is not very well understood.

Corpsegrinder is the exact opposite. It is the best of the genre. With this genre, you can understand sounds like Cannibal Corpse's "Make Them Suffer" and they sound mean. But, the earliest ones, which mainly include Cannibal Corpse, are BANNED in Germany, so I feel for those of you in this country, as your government is stupid.

Traditional Death is also up with Corpsegrinder. It features music by Deicide and Dethklok, to name a few. Some worthy picks are in this side of the genre too, like "Fuck Your God", used to torture terrorists in Guatanamo Bay, and "Andromeda".

To talk about all types of metal would take forever. There's death and subgenres of death, doom and subgenres, industrial, "generic" metal, heavy metal, liquid metal, psychedelic metal, experimental metal, techno-metal, grind metal, core metal, hardcore metal, hard metal, thrash, black and more. That's just to name a few.

Then, there are the cunts who claim that people who listen to this genre get possessed by Satan. The answer is no, you don't. Music alone DOES NOT make you get possessed by the devil, if one existed. Now, if you believed in that and were drawing Satanic pentagrams and "Hailing Satan", you have more of a chance of being possessed.

Just like the garbage that this genre is for emos. Yeah, there are emos who like this genre, but there are many more people who like this genre that aren't emos.

Then, there is the classic "people commit suicide by listening to metal". Again, like with demonic possession, you DO NOT kill yourself because of music. That's like saying all teenagers do drugs and fuck women, or that all college students are scholary. It DOESN'T happen. Suicide is a person choice, even if it is a fucked up choice.

Anyways, yeah, I could debunk metal myths ALL day, but I won't try, because metal haters are going to hate and distort the facts, like the people at Moms Demand Action.
