The jets hums were buzzing loudly in her ear, a group of people eyeballing the hologram in the back. While she suited up in her usual mask and goggles, she listens to the conversation between Romanoff and Rogers.
She'd lost focus since they were talking about dates, then the Captain had jumped out of the plane.
"Did he just jump without a parachute?" Rumlows partner says, astonishment in hi voice.
"Yes he did," Annie replies. Then she goes over to Rumlow and kisses his cheek--standard undercover story--and smiles as best as she can.
Her normal attire had to be ducked off for this op,the goggle had to stay on-Price told her so. Her V-shaped headband covered most of her face and neck. The standard all-black flexibility suit had been modeled to take out the leader of the pirate. If it came to killing him, Price had said.
Her mind had steps to follow on Pierces behalf. Make sure to keep your mask on. Kill in all circumstances. Interrogate Jasper Sitwell. Kill if confessed. Background story.
The jump down to the boat had been swift, normal for s person like her. She held her metal hand out in defense, her flesh closest to the gun on her pants. Most of the guards had been taken out, but Rogers was held at gunpoint.
She flicked her right hand towards the guard, a blade hitting him right next to his neck. She activated the magnetic recall and pulled the blade back to her hands.
Rogers had punched the man with his shield, then clicked it behind him.
She walks next to Rogers and awaits his orders. Though instead she gets reprimanded.
"You could've handled that a little less violently, Anne," Rogers hisses.
Sliding the glass plate of her mask over her face, she directly looks at him. "A thank you would suffice, Rogers," her light German accent replies. But her remark had been too disrespectful, and could catch a lot of attention from him. So she adds, "Though I will think next time, sir."
Rogers nods in agreement and turns around to the rest of the STRIKE team.
Anne didn't listen, since her orders were clear to work next to Rogers. The team dispersed into their own sections, Rumlow heading off to where the hostages were and the two heading to find where the leader was.
Annie is a trained assassin, she works alone, or with her fellow partner, Winter Soldier. So, in her situation, she isn't comfortable. And it was also strange of Pierce to assign this task to her.
Working with others had proven a great mishap, she could tell when Pierce had told her to do so. She doesn't remember working with others...yet the uncertainty that Pierce had given Annie told her that it was a mistake.
Steve had given the word for the team to attack. He then acknowledges Annie to follow him across the vast dock. Above the dock was the French pirate, looking over the ocean.
Annie's mask closes in on the pirate, analyzing the details of his face. Strong jaw...pouty lips... He was stubborn, and worn from combat by the looks of the scarring on his cheeks. It also indicated that he's somewhat skilled.
Steve threw his shield at the glass separating the pirate from Annie and Steve. Flipping out her knives and attaching a rope to the side of the balcony, Annie climbs up to meet Steve standing alone, a frustrated look on his face.
