Chapter Forty-One

We Get Seduced

Fog surrounded the two pegasi, making it impossible to watch the Ramsey twins leave. Holding onto Lola, Constantine's face was stone as tears streamed down his cheeks. Noel admired this – most boys would be afraid to cry. Constantine didn't even wipe the tears away.

"Let's go." He called, turning his pegasi around, his back to Verity and Basil. "We don't have a lot of time."

The pegasi flew side by side, whinnying softly to each other every now and then. Lola woke up, moaning about her head. Noel wordlessly tossed her some painkillers. It was getting colder.

Subtly, the fog in front of them began to thin. Walls of grey on either side towered. Noel felt a little like Moses must have when parting the red sea.

Ahead a soaring black rock rose, seemingly smooth and very menacing.

"Does that look like a dick to anyone else?" Stephan whispered.

"Shut it." Hissed Lola.

As they drew closer, the rock looking more and more menacing, a voice rose out of the fog.

"Constantine?" called the voice, and Noel realized with a shudder that it was Verity, but it sounded as if she were underwater. "Help me Constantine!" it called again.

Constantine's head swivelled from side to side. "Verity?"

"Stan, help!"

Noel tapped Stephan on the shoulder. "That isn't Verity."

"No way." Stephan's eyes narrowed. "Constantine, let's go!"

"But –"

"It's not." He insisted. "Let's go – oh."

On one side of them a cloud rose, and on it sat Verity. She was wrapped in it, as if it were a dress. "Constantine," she cooed. "Come here, honey."

Noel looked back and forth between Constantine and the cloud Verity. She looked funny, like a wax figurine version almost. Beside her was someone Noel vaguely recognized, from old movie nights or something.

"Is that Molly Ringwald?" Noel squinted. "But...young?"

"You bet it is!" Stephan yelped, turning his Pegasus towards the cloud.

"What are you doing?" screeched Noel. "They're not real!" Looking over at their friends, she saw that Lola was wrestling with Constantine.

"Stan – c'mon – we have to keep going!" Lola yelled.

Constantine was stronger though, and he pushed her – right off the Pegasus.

Noel, acting in a split second, turned their Pegasus around and reached out. Just in time, Lola grabbed her hand, swinging.

"Help Stephan!" They yelled, but Stephan was too entranced by a seventeen year old Molly Ringwald.

"You're cuuute." sighed Cloud Molly Ringwald. "Come give me a kiss, won't you pretty boy?"

Stephan gulped. "You bet!"

"Stephan." Noel begged. "Help me, Lola – I can't hold on much longer!"

"Slap him." Said Lola darkly, wincing. Her hands were getting sweaty.

"Wha–"

"SLAP HIM."

Noel let one had go, pulled back and slapped Stephan across the face as hard as she possibly could. "SNAP OUT OF IT!" she screamed.

"Holy shit!" Stephan shook his head. "That HURT."

"Help us!" Noel and Lola screamed.

"Right, sorry!" Stephan snapped out of it, reaching down to help yank Lola up onto the Pegasus. "Where's Constan....oh no."

They all turned, seeing Constantine actually sitting on the cloud, being petted and murmured to by the cloud girls. "Stan!" Stephan called. "Bud, c'mon, let's go!"

"No..." Constantine reached up and took Cloud Verity's face. "I'm staying...right...here."

"I'll get him." Lola whistled to the other Pegasus, who was whinnying in fear. "Noel, you got me?"

Nodding, Noel pulled out her bow and arrows. "Let's do this."

Lola climbed onto the other Pegasus, moving slowly towards the cloud. Molly Ringwald was pouting at the other end of the cloud.

"You could share." She whined.

Cloud Verity smirked in her direction. "Oh well."

Lola flew closer. "Constantine, c'mon, we have to get Gabriel."

"What...ever." He slurred. He appeared to drunk of with the presence of Cloud verity to fully use his mouth muscles.

Lola glanced back at Noel, nodded. She grabbed Constantine and yanked him down, Noel quickly shooting two arrows directly at the cloud girls. Each where hit in the shoulder, and they screeched. Wings sprouted between their shoulder blades and they flew into the air, revealing the lower bodies of rather scrawny chickens with a skin condition.

"Yuck." Stephan said, helping Lola pull Constantine onto her Pegasus. "Sirens, who'da thunk it."

"Am I drunk?" Constantine slurred, resting his head on Lola's shoulder. "I feel like I just drunk a liquor store."

"Something like that." Lola sighed. "Okay, let's go."

They all looked towards the towering black rock. "Any chance they have a Tim Hortons?" asked Stephan hopefully.

It was so ridiculous; the thought that they were heading towards actual Hell and all Stephan could still about was food. The laughter rose above the clouds, and if a stranger heard it they would assume it was just four friends, having a good time.

A/N: So hey it's been a while. Sorry about that, I've been doing summer school at my own will and reading Hamlet.

Hope you found this chapter entertaining! I laughed way to much writing this. And it's my own jokes. That's a little pathetic. I'm not that funny.

ANYWHO! Off to Hell we go!
