I Remember You

(Another) Baekhyun Imagine: French Fries

Becky's P.O.V.

It all started out on a weekend in August. I was eating a Cheeseburger with an ICEE on the side at Burger King when all of the sudden, someone that looked vaguely familiar walked through the side door next to the playground area.

I did a double take and noticed it was no one other than Byun Baekhyun from EXO. My heart literally fell in my stomach. After only months of discovering them (and being obsessed with them, I might add), here was the one and only Baekhyun standing not even 20 ft. away from me.

I was just going to jump out of my seat and attack him with hugs when my mind told me to stop. Get a hold of yourself, woman. He won't like a fan who's too enthusiastic to see him. Just play it cool.

I slid out of my seat with the tray in my hands and went to throw it away while casually bumping into the love of my life. "Oh, I'm sorry," I pause. "Hey, don't I know you from somewhere?"

He nods but before he could say anything, I lie. "Oh, you're one of my classmates siblings, aren't you?"

Baekhyun looks entirely confused but decides to play along, not knowing that I could recognize him from a mile away. "Yep, that's me," he smiles the most cutest smile I have ever seen.

"Well I'm Becky, if you don't remember."

"And I'm Baekhyun." My heart feels like it's about to explode in my stomach and I could feel myself getting hot. Just tell him you know him already so you two can take a million selfies together.

But before I can say anything, he speaks. "Do you want anything else?" he asked in his adorable accent.

Play hard to get. "Actually, I'm fine really."

"Are you sure?" he questions further.

"Well...I didn't order any fries."

And so for the next hour, we chatted and ate loads of French fries that it felt as if my stomach was going to explode any minute but it was worth it if I got to hang out with Baekhyun all day.

"It was really nice getting to know you, Becky," Baekhyun said while munching on a fry.

"And it was nice getting to know you too," I nod.

Once I finished my soda (the one he bought for me), I get up to throw it away. In that very second, EXO's Love Me Right starts blasting out of my phone. Shit.

I could feel my face heat up as I make eye contact with Baekhyun. He stands up from his seat and walks towards me with the most serious face I have ever seen on anyone.

When he reaches the spot where I'm standing at, I'm afraid he'll start yelling. "I hate it when people lie to me," he says but I can't tell whether he's angry or what.

I close my eyes in fear but am taken by surprise when I feel a pair of soft lips on my cheek. I open my eyes to see Baekhyun leaning back from the kiss with a grin on his face.

"But I'll forgive you 'cause I think it was kind of adorable." I am in total shock at what just happened. He kissed me. I have no words to describe the many emotions that are running through me right now.

At that second, an Asian man wearing all black walks through the door and makes his way towards us. "We gotta get going," he informs Baekhyun and glances at me for a second before turning his attention back to him.

"I'll be right out." The man leaves the two of us behind.

Baekhyun faces me again and I could feel the butterflies in my stomach. "We should hang out another time," he offers.

"That sounds fantastic." After we exchange numbers, we look at each other, neither one of us wanting to be the first to leave. But then a car horn beeps outside and I know it's for him.

"Hey," he begins, "maybe the next time we meet again I'll invite the boys." He gives me a hug before leaving the restaurant.

From that day on, I've been to Burger King every weekend since.
