Chapter 4

Anna pov

I'm worried about my mom. But, like Robert said, we need to run away. I cried. He keeps telling me not to cry.
"Don't cry Anna. Please?" Robert grabbed my hand and took me away. We sneaked into the corn field. We walked slowly and bent our body so they would never notice us. Robert keep holding my hand. I know he tried to protect me.
Robert pov

We reached the end of the field. We run towards the woods.
"Who are they, Robert?"
I stopped running. She stopped too. Waiting for me to answer her question. I looked through her eyes. She looked tired, but we must keep going.
"Anna...I am sorry for lying to you all this time," I move towards her. She stepped back.
"What do you mean?"
"I lied when we first meet, Anna. I lied about where I came from,"
"Who are you?!"she cried.
"I am from the Oracle city, Anna,"
She remained silent. I grabbed her hand. She pulled away. She stepped back more. She tried to avoid me.
"How could you do that, Robert?I trust you,"
"I know. That is why. I am really sorry about that Anna,"
"What do you want?! Do you want to kill me?" She cried harder.
I tried to move closer to her.
"Don't come closer!"
She runs away back to the corn field. I run faster and catch her from the back. I pulled her hand and grabbed her upon my shoulder. I hug her.
"Let me go!" She tried to escape.
"I'll never let you go! It is dangerous back there!" I raised my voice.
She looked me. She confused either to trust me again or not.
"I know it is my fault lying to you Anna. But please! Please Anna! Please trust me! I wanted to protect you!"

Lily pov

I hope they didn't find Anna. I am hoping that Robert could protect her. I saw a bunch of men pointing a gun to us. I wondered what they want from us.

I saw Katy crying back there. She was being taken too by the Oragon. I walked slowly towards her.
"Mrs. Olsen!" Katy hugged me. "Where is Anna?"
"Thank goodness she had not taken,"
"I hope she'll gonna be okay Mrs. Olsen,"
I keep silent. Of course I would want the same. I always wanted my daughter to be safe.

Anna pov

We walked like an hour. I feel so tired. I looked around. We are very far from Orges sites.
"I'm tired," I complained.
Robert turn his head back looking at me. He didn't say any single word. He just pulled out his smartphone from his pocket.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"I need to contact my dad. He knows what to do. I can't bring you to the city. You don't have any identification. They will notice you are not Oracle citizen," he explained.
"Then you can leave. Without me," I said.
He looked me in the eyes.
"I will never leave you, Anna,"

His smartphone ringing. He picked up the call. It is from his dad.

Robert pov

"Where are you Robert?what happened?" Dad asked.
"I'm sorry I lied about spending the holiday with Billy. Now I'm with Anna. She is an Orges. Something happened at their village dad. I saved her from being taken by the Oragon," I explained.
"You shouldn't be there, son. Now the organization keeps arresting the Orges,"
I heard my dad sighed.
"I can't leave her dad,"
"I'll make some fake ID for her. Meet me at the main gate of the city tomorrow morning,"
"How about Anna?"
"Just bring her with you. I will try to distract the guard,"
"Thanks dad,"

I put my smartphone in my pocket. I looked at her.
"We will go to the city tomorow morning,"
"What? Then what? They will put me in the jail?"
I grab both of her shoulders. I looked her.
"Hey...you need to trust me Anna,"

Anna pov

I opened my eyes. I have been sleeping more than an hour. The runaway things making me so tired. I looked around. I saw Robert was looking at me. I wondered if he stays up last night taking care of me.

"Did you sleep last night?" I asked.
"You think?" He grinned.
"So, did you keep looking at me until I wake up?"
"Reason?"
"I don't know. Maybe you think I'm pretty?"

He chuckled. I rolled my eyes.
"No, Anna. I stayed up because I want to make sure no one coming here. To keep us safe,"
"Oh?thank you to you then?" I rolled my eyes.
"Be ready. We will go to the main gate any minutes,"

We walked through the desert. When we saw a gigantic gate in front of us, we stopped walking. I saw many guards holding their guns. I looked at Robert. His eyed looking at the gigantic gate. I have never been there before. Oracle city. I saw the gate slowly opened. Robert looked at me. He grabbed my little hand. I looked upon him. We slowly walked to the main entrance to the city. I saw a man dressed formally waiting inside. Smiling. I smile. I guess he is Robert's father.

"We need to check your id sir," one of the guard coming to us. The guard stopped when they saw Robert's father.
"Oh, Mr. Collins. We're not expected you were here," said the guard.
Mr. Collins make an eye contact with the guard. He smiled. I saw he passed something to Robert.
"I come to see my son," Mr. Collins keep smiling.
"He is your son?"the guard looked at us. "Who is the girl?"
The guard comes toward us.
"Miss, could you give me your id?"ask the guard.
I don't have an id. I looked at Robert. I am afraid. I should not follow his plan.
"Anna, you should keep your own id," Robert suddenly gives me the id. Robert smiled. "I am sorry. She is our cousin. I took her outside the city to spend our holiday,"
The guard took the id from my hand.
"I am sorry miss," said the guard.
The guard gives me my id back. I saw my name at the id. Anna collins. Since I be Robert's cousin, I have to change my surname.
"Come Anna, your aunt is waiting for you," Mr. Collins took me to his car. Robert followed from the back.
"Thank you," Mr. Collins show some manners to the guard.
"Have a nice day, Mr. Collins," said the guard.

Mr. Collins drives the car. We haven't spoken since we leave the main entrance.
"So, you are Anna,"Mr. Collins finally opens some conversation.
"Yes, sir," I answered.
"How old are you, Anna?"
"I'm 17, sir,"
"You should be in school," said Mr. Collins.
"Yeah, I learned some stuff at school,"
"Do you know how to write?or read?"
"Of course Mr. Collins,"
"If you are 17, you will be the same class with Bella,"
"Who is Bella?" I asked.
"My daughter. Robert's sister,"

I looked at Robert. "You didn't tell me you have a sister,"
"Now you know," Robert smiled.

I looked at Mr. Collins. He focused on his driving.
"But, I don't need school. I need to find my mom,"
"I'm sorry Anna. It is just a procedure. I just wanted to protect you. After what happened just now, I don't want them to suspect that you are Orges," Mr. Collins explained.

I remained silent. I looked out the car window. I saw a luxurious house beside the road. Oracle city is way too different than Orges.
"Look...I'm sorry about what happen to your mother, Anna. But you also need to follow Oracle's rules," Robert looked me through the eyes.

He is right. I need to hide. Hide mean pretending to be the Oracle.
