" Mrs price gets 30% of the property, which includes a sum of 50million dollars with 2 condos here and 3 mansions in different countries which includes California, Dubai and China." My father just died not too long ago and all these people can think of is property, who gets what?. My step mom looks quite pleased with herself. frankly, I hadn't expected my dad to leave her that much or anything at all.
"Miss Susan, your father has left you with 60% of his properties. That includes the price enterprises, 50% of all his shares in different companies all over the world which sums up to 500million dollars, I will give you more information on these companies later. Also..."
"No need to continue lawyer, just move ahead to laurel since it seems Natalia has been given quite a lot. I'm her mother, we can discuss hers later" Felicia, my step mom says. The lawyer nods then turns to the next page to say mine.
How could my dad give Natalia the company? What does this mean? This cannot be true, I know my father and he would never betray me like this, or could he?
"Miss Laurel, your father has left you with 10% of his..." He began but I angrily cut him off with a laugh
"What the hell are you talking about? 10% !!! Is this a joke? Because its not funny. How can she? An illegitimate child get more than the real daughter of the Price family, that's bullshit and you know it." He didn't reply just looked at me with something I can't place my hands on,... Is that pity?.
"Sit down laurel and let the man finish" Felicia practical hissed out. I sigh heavily and sat back down. I look to the family lawyer again and he clears his throat before continuing
"Like I said earlier, you have been left with 10% of his shares which includes a house in Malibu, a club in new York city and 50% of his shares. Your mother being your guardian is the one currently holding the shares on your behalf until you turn 18" I look to my step mom to find her smirking at me, I don't like where this is going.
"But I will then 18 next month" I argue but he doesn't answer just looks to my so called mom
" OK so it's okay for me, a minor to own a night club but i can't hold my own shares huh!" I say with an incredulous look on my face, are this people serious?, I feel like crying, I feel cheated and I know something is terribly wrong here and it has Felicia's name written all over it.
"OK ma'am, just sign here and here" I nod and quickly sign the papers. I look at Felicia and she has a smug look on her face like she's won something. Witch!
The lawyer collects the papers back but doesn't give any to my step mom and sister.
"Why I'm I the only one that has to sign those papers?" I ask him, a little unsure
"Well my dear laurel, you just legally gave me all that your dad gave to you to us." My eyes go wide, I knew something was wrong, so they just read me a fake will?
"But I didn't consent to any of this" I yell, while Felicia just smiles which makes my blood boil
"Yes, but you have already signed the papers dear" At this time,traitorous tears have already escaped from my eyes.
"Thank you, see you soon" Felicia tells the lawyer
"You are welcome, Bye" he looks at me one more time before continuing on his way out the door.
"Are you okay laurel? You look a little pale" Natalia jests at me
"Shut it bitch" I snap at her
"What did I tell you about that kind of language laurel?" She asks walking towards me. I don't answer her so when she gets closer to me, she slaps me, the sound resounding around the room. I turn my face to look her in the eye with a dangerous look on my face
"What?! Do you have something to say?" She asks pushing my head back, I swallow the lump that seemed to have formed in my throat as I try to hold back tears. Slowly I shake my head as reply since I couldn't seem to find my voice
"Weak, just like your stupid good for nothing mother" I just chew on my lips, clutching my fist to prevent me from doing something I'll regret later so I keep my head down not wanting to give her the satisfaction of seeing me break down.
"Let's go" she says walking out of my dad's study with her daughter in tow. after some minutes to calm myself, Slowly I walk back up to my room but I'm about to enter when I hear my boyfriends voice, Tom, what is he doing here? I walk towards where the sound us coming from to find my boyfriend on top of Natalia, I am so shocked I just stare at them until he finally looks up, quickly jumping off the dress, pulling his trouser up as he walks towards me with a guilty look on his face but I don't even allow him to explain
"We are over" I snap at him as I rush back to my room tears falling from my eyes. I can hear him calling my name but I don't answer. I'm about to enter my room when someone grabs my hand and yanks me back. I turn round ready to shout at him but instead I'm faced with Natalia, this girl is begging for it.
"What do you want?" I ask angrily
"Don't take it to heart, you guys were never serious to begin with" she says nonchalantly
"And how do you know we weren't?"
"Well if I remember correctly he called you a joke just right before he started fuckëd me" she says with a smirk. I see she wants a fight, well who I'm I to refuse.
"I knew you didn't have self respect or dignity to begin with but I didn't know you would stoop so low to be a slut" I say with a smirk matching hers, her left eyes starts twitching making me smile
"What did you say bitch?" She asks with a snare
"You are calling me a bitch? I knew you were stupid but not this stupid, I mean what do you do with your phone everyday, look up the word bitch, I assure, your face is next to the very definition. Although frankly that doesn't do you justice, you are more of a slut to me" by this time, all my tears have dried and she looks like she's about to explode. Suddenly she throws herself at me with a scream pulling my hair. When I successful landed a punch on her face I hear a crack, I definitely broke something, she falls to floor in pain clutching her nose. I immediately fall by her side to try and help her but I hear a shout from the corner to find a livid Felicia.
"What did you do to my daughter?" She screams, I didn't mean to but I guess I just released all the pent up anger in me on her.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to" she gets up and slaps me on my face twice before pushing me out of the way, she comes back running with two women and two men, I recognise the two men as my dad's friends and the women, I don't know them. Instead of helping Natalia, the women rush into my room while the men pick up an unconscious Natalia, I'm so shocked, I'm rooted to the spot.
The women come out with my things while Felicia grabs me by the hair and hurls me towards to main entrance, the women throw my belonging out and the street while Felicia drags me along with her with me begging and screaming but it falls on deaf ears.
" I have been waiting so long to do this " she says before they all push me out the gate and shut it in my face when I try to run back in. I turn back around and sit on the floor crying my eyes out while the people passing give me odd looks, my life just came crashing down in my face.
