Baby it's You -a Ross Lynch love story

Texting and the date pt. 2

Alex's POV:

As Ross was driving us to our mystery date he turned on the radio and Bad Enough for You by All Time Low was just coming on, Ross started singing a little, and even though he wasn't singing loud it was still heavenly! I wanted to start singing too but I don't think I have a very good voice, everyone tells me I do but I think their just trying to be nice. When the chorus came on I built up enough courage to start singing with him, it ended in both of us singing at the top of our lungs.

Ross looked over at me and smiled, "What?" I asked.

"You have a really good voice" he said.

"Stop lying" I said looking in my lap slightly blushing. Just then we stopped at a red light and Ross looked over at me, put two fingers under my chin pulling my head to look at him, "Don't think less of yourself, you really do have an amazing voice!" I could have sworn he was about to kiss me when the stupid car behind us honked because we had been so caught up in the moment neither of us noticed the light turning green. We spent the rest of the ride in silence, but it wasn't too bad considering we pulled into a parking lot not even five minutes later.

I couldn't really tell where we were, but I knew it was familiar, like I had seen it in an R5 TV...but where were we.... "Get Shaved!"

"Yeah, you ever been here?" Ross asked.

"No, but I've seen it in R5 TV" I said kind of embarresed causing him to chuckle.

"Well then, c'mon lets get you some of the best shaved ice in the world!" he said getting out of the car and before I could even open my door Ross had already run to my side and was opening my door.

"Ok, so your gonna have to help me since I've never been here" I said as we got in the line at the window.

"Don't worry...umm...how about cotton candy?"

"Sounds good"

When we got to the window the girl who looked about in her low 20's said, "Welcome to Get Shaved, what can I get for you?"

"One cotton candy and one mint chocolate chip"

"Ok, that'll be $6.50" Ross got out his wallet and paid as the lady handed us two containers of shaved ice. We took the bowls and went to find a seat.

"I don't see an open table" I said

"What? Their never this busy. Ok how about we eat at the park across the street?"

"Alrighty" I said as we started crossing the street, we ended up finding a nice spot under a huge tree. I was about to take a bite of my food when I noticed something, "Uhh, Ross?"

"Yeah?"

"Pretty sure this is yours" I laughed showing him the bowl filled with mint chocolate chip shaved ice.

"Haha yeah and this would be yours" he said as we switched bowls.

"What are you doing?" I said as I saw him looking at me amused.

"I want to see your expression when you try Get Shaved for the first time." he said.

I brought the spoon filled with cotton candy shaved ice to my mouth, and man was it good! "This is so good!" I exclaimed.

Ross threw his fists in the air (well one fist and one hand with a bowl in it in the air) while he exclaimed, "Yes! Success!" Causing me to laugh at his weirdness.

We ate the rest in silence just enjoying eachother's company and our delicious shaved ice. Once we were done and threw away the bowls we decided to take a walk around the park.

"You wanna play 20 questions?" He asked as we walked along the pathway.

"Sure, except there's one problem..."

"What?" he said kind of concerned.

"I'm an R5 fan, there's not too much I could ask you."

This made him chuckle, "Ok, so I'll ask the questions."

"Sounds good."

"Favorite color?"

"Pink"

"Favorite band?"

"R5" I smiled and he smiled back.

"Okay, besides R5"

"Dang it, you gotta make it hard. I can't pick I love a bunch of weird unknown bands that you would have no clue who the are."

"Oh, well you have to show me them sometime."

"Definitely" I said smiling that I would have a reason to see him again.

"I have one more question." He said as we reached the lake and he stood in front of me taking bothe of my hands in his.

"That was no where near 20!" I smiled.

"I know, I'll take a rain check on the ones I didn't do."

"Fair enough."

He looked down at our intertwined hands and back up to my eyes, he looked really nervous, "Alex, will you be my girlfriend?"

I smiled, "Of course." He smiled back at me and we kissed.

After walking around the park for a little while longer we decided we should probably leave so we walked back to the car, and like a gentleman he opened my car door again. Once we were in and he started driving we just laughed and talked as we drove to my house. When we got there I said, "Thanks for a great afternoon, Ross."

"No problem at all."

We kissed and when we pulled away I said, "I'll see you soon"

"Of course, I'll text you when I get home."

"Ok bye." I said and kissed his cheek as I opened up my door and started getting out he responded, "Bye, babe." I smiled as I got out and walked up to the front door. Once I got inside I said hi to my parents and went upstairs to take a shower.

I spent the rest of the night laying in bed in sweats listening to music and texting Ross about anything and everything we could talk about. The last text I read before I went to sleep was

Ross: Goodnight beautiful

I fell asleep with a smile on my face, could life be any more perfect??
