I woke up, stretching my arms, then feeling lightheaded. I yawned, covering my mouth in the process.

I swung my legs over the left side of my bed, feeling my feet come in contact with the floor. I walked over to my closet, deciding to look a bit cuter today.

I got my floral print All Time Low T-shirt, slipping it off the hanger. I struggled to get on my ripped black skinny jeans, buttoning them, of course. I slid on my black and white palm tree vans, tying up the white laces. I loosely wrapped my plaid Forever 21 plaid scarf around my neck. I grabbed my twenty one pilots and green day bracelets, slipping them on my wrist.

I applied some mint EOS, slid on my black Ray-Ban Wayfarer plastic sunglasses, then threw my black knapsack backpack over my shoulder and walked out of my room.

I trotted down the steps, seeing Shawn dancing around in his boxers, a toaster waffle stuffed in his mouth, and the words of the song being muffled.

I chuckled lightly, shaking my head at my brother, "Weirdo."

His cheeks reddened, evidently blushing at the fact that I intruded on his little 'dance party'.

"Get dressed you idiot." I said, still through fits of laughter. He nodded, his head hanging low in embarrassment. As he walked past me to go up the stairs, I pat his back and shook my head again.

After I had my breakfast, Shawn came down with a huge smile etched on his face. He seemed happier than usual, but I mean he was usually pretty positive.

But what was up with him today?

We walked to school, making small talk along the way, his big smile never leaving his face. We walked into the school building, Shawn pulling me into a hug.

"Byeeee sister," he said, his nose scrunching up.

"Oh my god you're so embarrassing." I tried shaking off his grip. He laughed, then released me from the hug. 

I walked to my first class and sat down. I literally almost fell asleep but douche ass teacher noticed and yelled at me, making everyone look at me and laugh. I swear I could hear Mikey giggle.

As I listened to the teacher teach us boring shit, I felt like someone staring holes in the back of my head. I felt nervous. I turned my head and my eyes met up with Michael's. He was the one staring at me. He realized that I was looking at him and quickly motioned his eyes back to the teacher. 

The bell rang and I hurried out of the room. I was suddenly stopped by Michael. 

"I like your shirt." He told me.

"Oh thanks." I said. He smiled. 

Then the awkward silence came on again. 

But then Shawn came out of nowhere.

"Heyyy sister. Hi Mikey." He said.

"Hey Shawn." Michael said. I just awkwardly waved at my brother, wishing he'd just go away but also a little glad he showed up.

"Hey Paige, where's that boy you got a major crush on?" Shawn asked. Aw crap, now I want him to leave. This boy is gonna get it when he gets home. 

"What do you mean Shawny?" I asked him nervously.

"You know who I'm talking about. He's got colored crazy hair. What happened? Did you hit your head again?" He said. 

I looked at Michael. He was smiling, blushing a little too.

"Shawn, I think you should go now." I said.

"Okayyyy." He said. Shawn left Michael and I standing in the hallway.

"So um...there's this party being held, and I was wondering if you might want to go with me." Michael asked a little nervous.

I was literally just waiting for myself to fall over with excitement. My crush, Michael Clifford, just asked me out.

Well sort of.

I mean parties are fun and all, but I would've really just liked a nice movie or dinner date with Michael. But I'm really happy and excited that I'm finally gonna get to spend some time with him outside of school.

"I'd love to." I said smiling. Michael smiled.

"Awesome. See you then." He said and ran down the hall. But I stood in the hallway by myself thinking about the negatives.

He's sort of a popular boy and I'm just a kept-to-self anxiety freak. Why would he ask me to go with him? There's a large number of girls that would probably want to go with him.

I ignored myself and just hurried to my next class.

She said yes. She actually said yes.

I didn't think she'd want to go to some party with a loser like me.

I couldn't wait to tell Calum.
