"So, are you going to stay with me and join my guild or are you going to go off on your own?" I ask Aiden with a kind smile as he hesitates before nodding.
"I don't have any friends in this game so I guess I'll stay," He sighs, slumping down as I chuckle.
"Well, you now have one," I grin. "Welcome to the Arcane Soiree," I smirk as the invite I sent was confirmed.
"Magic ball?" He asks in disbelief as I nod.
"Yep," I chuckle and start walking towards town, him stumbling after me though the first in his haste to keep up with me. "Oh, my guild mainly consists of mages and assassins. We 0ave one priest and one warrior per team of two mages and one assassin. There's already thirty teams plus my group of misfits who have an affinity for both the mage and assassin class but use mainly one style and re-equip for the other when needed so they keep multiple weapons on them. I'm more inclined to the mage and assassin class but I also have an affinity for the priest class. I've also figured out a way to combine skills even though it's not programmed in. You'll be required to learn a second class with us, I'll teach you dual wielding and assassin attacks," I explain and look back to see him with a slightly confused look before I sigh.
"what do you mean combine skills?" he asks cluelessly.
"It's simple," I pull out a dagger and it starts to crackle with electricity, sparking occasionally. "See?" I ask with a chuckle as the electricity is replaced with flames that flicker between black and a dark blue color. I sheathe the dagger as I let the flames dissipate, noting that Aiden's eyes were wide with awe.
"Teach me how to do that." he demands almost instantly and I chuckle.
"I will once we get to the guild hall." I grin lazily as we reach the town, the buildings centered around a giant tree that was large enough to build a castle inside of and still have enough room for another mansion inside. The houses around it were small and mostly hidden by flowing rose bushes of all colors, even a royal blue, "Welcome to the village of roses, Rosa Elisium."
"Whoa." I hear from behind me and grin.
"The guild is in the tree," I motion towards the door that was in its trunk before starting to walk through the village to it. "There's rooms of stone that we put in so that we won't burn it down. They're mainly used for the blacksmiths personal forgery rooms and the largest room is for training. We'll begin training once the rest of our group is back from their free day." I soon notice a white haired boy who looks nearly identicle to me pop up.
"Yo sis," I hear him say before I hear Aiden freak out. "Who's the newbie?"
"He's our new tank," I chuckle.
"Where did he come from?!" I hear Aiden ask franticly, looking around and trying to find where my brother popped out from.
"Invisible cloaking skill," I turn and explain with a sigh as we make it to the door which, on closer inspection, was carved out of the tree itself with rose embellishments covering it. "Aniki, introduce yourself to the newbie," I demand as I turn so that my back is facing the door to the guild hall.
"I'm Aloys, this idiot's brother," he introduces himself with a sigh while motioning to me. I then motion for Aiden to do the same after trying to punch Aloys, becoming slightly annoyed as he dodges.
"No running this one off," I order with a growl and Aloys whines in protest.
"But they're just pranks," he protests.
"I'm Aiden," he interrupts my brother and I snicker as I watch a feminine male with long red hair tied in a low pony tail and bright green eyes sneak up behind Aloys before hugging him, causing the white haired male to jump.
"Lyall!" Aloys yells in annoyance as the other starts to laugh.
"Nice to see you're back after the quest you went on. I trust you completed it?" I question and the red head nods, holding up a small cube with an image of wings on it. "Great. Give it to the newbie. You don't need it and none of the others need it either. He can't fly and he needs to get used to it. Also, three months to prepare for the spire. We should complete it this time around," I motion to Aiden while speaking of him and Lyall does as told, tossing him the cube before nodding.
"Ebony," Lyall says in a soft voice. "Do we really need another group member?"
I respond with a nod, "He'll be our new tank." He opens his mouth to say something else but decides against speaking and nods instead.
"We should go in and start his training then. We should also get him new equipment that's enchanted," Aloys sighs and I nod.
"Sera and Kier should be in their workspace, he can meet them there," Lyall speaks, barely audible to normal players. I nod slightly to show I heard him and go to open the door, motioning for everyone to go in.
Lyall walks in silently, nodding slightly to me as he goes in. Aloys follows after him, grumbling and rolling his eyes while Aiden just looks at me in confusion. "Only the leaders of groups within the guild know the code to get in," I explain and he makes an "o" shape with his mouth before going in. I follow after, shutting the door and making sure the lock is reset.
"Follow me. I'll show you to the blacksmiths' rooms. Sera and Kier share theirs because they work well together. Their enchantments are also high level. Also, armor made by blacksmiths don't have a specific level requirement," I say, motioning for Aiden to follow me seeing as Lyall and Aloys had already went ahead. I start walking, taking several turns through the halls and eventually coming to and open area where tables and benches were carved out of the ground. I grin as I see most of the groups gathered and talking amongst themselves. "Aiden, stay here, I'll be back in a minute," I order him before spreading my wings and flying up to 10 feet above the crowd and to the center. "Attention!" I yell and the crowd starts to quiet down. "As you all know, the spire will be appear in three months. We have two and a half months to prepare since it takes two weeks to get to the mainland. This year, I will personally go with my group to the spire." I state loudly and most of them groan, disappointed that they wouldn't get to go. I chuckle. "Don't worry, you'll all get a chance next year. A new boss will appear in the spire after the defeat of the current one. You are all free to go back to your quests and training." I end my announcement and fly back over to where I left Aiden, noticing the shock on his face as I do so.
----------chapter end-----------
Well, that is probably the longest chapter I've ever typed. It's 1212 words long. I've also been writing this during school. So, yeah. Be happy. I literally have honors 10th lit, honors biology, and government all in the same semester.
