Chapter 23- Life After the situation

It has been a month since we won in court. I feel like it has honestly changed my life. I have noticed that I am less grumpy, and depressed during the days now! I am glad that it's all over and there is nothing else to worry about. We are where we belong in the safeness of caring people. Actually, the situation ended just in time for Vlogger Fair! Yes, Vlogger Fair is next weekend and Dad decided that he would bring Brooke, Isa, Jayda, JEnne, Max and I with them because he is proud of us for staying positive during the situation. This is going to be my first convention ever! I have also decided to keep a journal of my life with the new family (Look for a new book called 'Ernestine Olivia Butler's Journal').
Today we are actually continuing the celebration of winning by going to the 5th Annual Pocatello Community Awards. We have been nominated for a lot of awards; Outstanding Community Member, Bravest group/family, Strongest Bond in a group, and Overcoming Scary Situations. The shaytards have been nominated for the Most Inpirastional. We also as a gift to Officer Hankins we nominated him for Outstanding Police Officer, and Friendliest police officer and more. Dad also said that after the awards he has a surprise for us, and I have a suspision to what it is but I don't want to say, the reason I have a suspision is because they wont let us in their room.

-2 hours later-
We are getting ready for the awards, I put on a purple and pink flowered dress. We are now having mom do our hair all fancy and then we are heading out. Our whole family is going, but only Dad, Mom, Brooke, Isa, Brock, Gavin, Avia, Emmi, Daxton, Jayda, Jenne, and I are going to be at the tables and everyone else is going to be in regular seats.

-During the awards-
The awards have started and they about to reveal Outstanding Police Officer, Officer Hankins doesn't know that we nominated him so lets see his reaction. The presenter is Pocatello native Joshua Paulic.
"It is my honor to present the Outstanding Police Officer award. Here are tonights nominees. From Pocatello Police Department, Officer Laurie Folans. Also from Pocatello Police Department, Officer Joe Hankins. From Idaho State Police #15, Detective Moore." He reads a few more then continues "And the winner is.... Pocatello Police Department, Officer Joe Hankins! Officer come on up along with the people who nominated you." He finished, Brooke, Isa, and I stood up and walked to the potieum joined by Officer Hankins who is now crying.I start "Before Officer Hankins speaks, I just want to say why we nominated him. My birth sisters Brooke, Isa, and I were adopted a few months ago by the Butler family of Pocatello. We have a whole story to share later when we speak later but something happened when our birth father found us and wanted us back but he was not allowed to, he kept looking for us so thats when Office Hankins came into play, he figured everything out and helped us get through our scary time. On behalf of my whole family we would like to Thank Officer Hankins for what he has done for us. Congratulations you deserve this very much!" I finish. Officer Hankins started to speak "Thanks for nominating me girls! When I heard your story, I thought to myself, these girl have had such a rough life and they arent even 10 yet so I had to do something. I actually also wanted to thank everyone who helped with their situation such as The Whole Butler family, Jackson Wood, Charles Trippy, Melissa Trippy, Allie Wesenberg, Phil O'reilly, Kathy, and the whole supreme court. That's all!" He finished he gives us a giant huge and we go to sit down.
-20 minutes later-
The host says "We are going to do a few awards together right now because the people nominated for one have been nominated for the others. I am actually going to present these, the nominees for the Outstanding Community Member, Bravest group/family, Strongest Bond in a group, and Overcoming Scary Situations are...." she names everyone and countinues "And the winners are.. from right here in pocatello idaho for Outstanding Coummunity Member we have Ernestine Butler, for Bravest Group/family we have Avia, Emmi, Gavin, Brock, Daxton, Brooke, Isa, Ernestine, Jayda, Shay, and Colette; for Strongest Bond in a group we have Avia, Emmi, Gavin, Brock, Daxton, Brooke, Isa, Erestine, Jayda, Shay, Colette, Casey, Kayli, Brailee, Gage, Winston, Carlie, Laurie, Logan and Carl Butler, Charles and Melissa Trippy, Phil O'reilly, Allie Wessenberg, Ava Jacobson, Cooper Colonel, Jackson Wood, and Jenne,Max and Kathy! And for OVercoming Scary Situations we have Brooke, ISa, Ernestine Butler and Jenne. That was alot."
I am the first one to speak "Thanks for this. I am not the only person that deserves this I think my whole family deserves it! Thanks!" Then Dad speaks for the family "Thanks for these 2 wonderful awards. WE are overwhelmed with the support we have gotten, I just want to thank all of the family, our friends, and the community." Then Jenne speaks "On Behalf of my Birth sisters I would like to say thank you. This is such a great community!" After that we go sit back down.
-2 minutes later-
It is now time for Most inspirational family.
The presenter speaks "I am honored to announce the winner of most inspirational family. the nominees are... The BUtler/Shaytards family" They read all the names, Dad pulls out the camera "And the winner is... The shaytards/butler family including Daddytard/Shay Carl, Mommytard/Colette, Sontard/Gavin, Princesstard/Avia, Babytard/Emmi, Rocktard/Brock, Brotard/Daxton, Teenytard/Isa, Atard/Ernestine, Btard/Brooke, friendtard/Jayda." We go up and dad speaks about how he appreciates it. It is now my turn to speak.
"Good Evening Pocatello! Before I start I want to thank Officer Hankins for setting this up for me. Okay, if I ask you to come up please do. It all started when my sister Brooke and I were born. We were welcomed to the world know that we had our sister Isa. When Brooke and I were about five months our house burned and Isa, Brooke, our birth dad, and I got out but our mom didn't get out quick enough, that when then firemen brought her out she was already gone forever. Then at her funeral, my aunt, birth sister Jenne, and brother-cousin Max came and thats when I met Jenne for the first time. Can Brooke, Isa, Jenne, Aunt Kathy, and Max come up please. After that our birth dad started abusing us so my grandparents called CPS and they came and arrested him, he was proven not-guilty and was released, he then murdered my grandparents without ever telling anyone until the funeral home picked up the bodies, he then started abusing us more and our babysitter then called CPS, and he was arrested again, our babysitter ended up moving to another state so we given to my dad's girlfriend and she didnt like us so she commited suicide, we were then taken to an orphanage where Aunt Kathy tried adopting us but couldnt. Thats were I met my 2 best friends Ava and Jayda, come on up. A few months after that someone bailed dad out of jail and he started searching for us so we had to change our last name. We then discovered this wonderful family of 7, the butlers, than a few weeks later Ava was adopted, then 4 weeks after that we were adopted by the best family ever the butlers.  Then just 2 months ago, I was on YouTube looking at comments and there was one from Charles Linden, who is our birth father and it read "THose look like my daughters" so I got Shay and Colette immeaditaly, Mom, Dad, Avia,Emmi, Brock,Dax, and Gav come on up. Dad then called the police station and spoke to Office Hankins, come up please. We then went to the police station and met with Officer Hankins, we told him our whole story, then dad's best friend Charles Trippy came to support us, Come up. Dad's family also supported us, come up. We where then told about our court date, then Charles surprised us with Mel, ALlie and Phil, come up. We then flew out to washington d.c and we won! That's our story! okay, everyone except Office Hankins can go sit back down. Officer Hankins on behalf of our big family I want to give you this personalized wall decor. You truly deserve it. We have appreciated having you in our lives and hope that you continue helping people like you helped us. here" I handed him the plaque as both of us started crying, stuttering he started to speak "Oh my gosh.....Thank...you..for this. I have never been... given something this special to me..... I would also like to mention...that you should no longer call me Officer Hankins...Call me Joe....You guys...are so...sweet..and..are...the...perfect..family..I guess while.... Ernestine and I...are both up...here..hold on" He takes a quick break "Ernestine, I know how worried you were through this process but you stood straight and kept living and for that I want to present you with a $1,000 Cruise gift card. That is honestly the least I could do for you. I love you guys! Don't forget Call me Joe" He finished, we hugged.

After the awards we ran into Joe outside and we talked for a while. Dad then said "We have to go. We are going to be late" We got in the car mom, blindfolded Brooke, Isa, and I. Sometime in the time we were blindfolded we dropped the kids and Sophie's. After about 20 minutes we arrived at the location, it was the airport. "Where are we going?" Dad handed me my plane ticket. "Really!" We were going to Paris!
