Sharps
were scattered everywhere,
stained with blood
and terror,
lives lost from a war not worth fighting for.
The only two survivors
were the king and queen,
the two strongest links from this world of puppets.
The two stared at each other
confused and terrified,
still while waiting for the other to make
a move.
