He was breathless, confused and baffled at what he'd read.

He leaned forward, brushing his chin against her shoulder.

She stopped writing.

She turned to face him.

Their eyes met and he'd stopped breathing for a few seconds.

Her lips pursed and he'd stopped breathing.

She was amazing, beautiful and literally took his breath away.

His throat clenched and he'd gulped; knots were caught at the back of his throat.

"Hi," she whispered.

Her light voice made him hyperventilate and he couldn't speak even if he tried.

He moved back and stared at her as if the present had just caught up with him.

He scratched the back of his head and stared down at the tree stumps.

"Hi," she said again a bit louder.

He faced her then and stared with intense eyes.

"Hi," he replied back. He felt ashamed, disappointed that he'd made himself more than a shadow.

He didn't want her to notice him.

But she did and it changed everything from there.
