The boy leaned forward with his eyebrows furrowed. Her hair tickled his cheek now.
The girl let out a breath of laughter and she couldn't stop. The boy instantly turned bright red and moved away, hitting the tree trunk behind him.
She closed the book and smiled at him.
"That's the end of this story."
The boy couldn't speak. There she goes again...staring at him, catching her off guard.
Beautiful...He'd thought this ever since he'd started noticing her again. It was impossible not to.
As if what she said finally caught up with him, he'd choked out a gasp with an exploding expression.
Frustration and anger overtook him.
"Whaaaaaaaat? But-How-But there's so many unanswered questions."
"That's the point."
