TAEHYUNG
The museum opening was tonight, and Jungkook hadn't left Tae house in days. His fans had found out about his apartment, and had broken in. It was unfortunate, and they were both looking for an apartment together. But they enjoyed living together at the moment.
"How are the comments today?" Taehyung pulled his favorite sweater over a dress shirt.
"Still okay." Jungkook sighs. "They like me, but they do not like you."
"I'm okay with that." Taehyung shrugged and slid over the back of the couch, resting his chin on Jungkook's shoulder. To Tae, it felt like everything was going right. He knew there'd be backlash, there would be anyway he'd done it, even if Tae hadn't been there. But he was growing be a successful artist and Jungkook could now appear freely in media without the threat of his identity being exposed.
"But you shouldn't have to be." Jungkook looks down at him "I'm sorry. I shouldn't've brought you."
"Don't make me slap you." Taehyung sits up, glaring at him.
"Fine. I was glad you were there, don't get me wrong. But this could affect your career..." He leaned back on the couch. "Oh, we have to go."
"I think I'll manage." Taehyung stands and follows Jungkook to the door. They were followed downstairs by two security guards, and more outside the door. The door waited open and waiting. No one had found us here yet.
We piled in, Taehyung was excited and buzzing. His art, in a museum. Jungkook could sense he wasn't going to listen to himself right now. "So, how excited are you, tae tae?"
"I could explode."
"Don't do it on my leather then. Stick your head out the window." He waves it off playfully.
"That might help." Taehyung goes to roll open the window.
"No, No! Tae you'll get hit by something!" Jungkook pulled him back, pulling him close. "I'm very excited for this. What's your next move?"
"Hm.. maybe I get a manager. Do artists need managers?" Taehyung frowns up at him.
"I think you need a manager."
"What does that mean?" He pokes Jungkook in the side.
They arrived at the museum. It stood tall before them, it was late at night after hours, but museum members stood all over the entrance in nice clothes holding drinks. After looking at how fancy they were, Taehyung felt out of place and wanted to drink back into the limo.
"Come on." Jungkook recognized his anxiety. "You'll feel better inside, won't ya?"
"Yeah. You're right." Taehyung let himself get pulled through the doors. The museum was huge; he'd spent the last day setting up his art with the help of Chris. He led Jungkook towards his little set up, admiring all the people that had come to see the opening.
"Wow." Jungkook stopped walking when his eyes landed on Taehyung's set up of paintings. He'd set up six paintings, laid out over a huge white wall in the center of the up-and-coming painting collections. They were all beautiful and gloomy. "You really are amazing." He pulled Taehyung close as they approached.
"Right back at ya." Tae pokes his chest before going up to a stool that was waiting for him. It felt unreal to have his art appreciated in this way, he felt like he'd made it.
"Is this you?" A man walks up to him, shoving a phone into his face.
Taehyung leaned back, looking at that was on his phone. Someone had caught a picture of him and Jungkook's kiss before kook had left for the stage. The title of the article said; 'Artist unveils his face, and his muse'.
"Uh. Yeah." He frowned up at the man. "What about it?"
The man glares at him, them huffs off. Jungkook returns with two glasses of champagne, and hands one to Tae with a smile. "Who was that?"
"Just...some guy." Taehyung leaned into him while holding the glass, snaking his other arm around Jungkook. "This is unreal." He looked up at his paintings.
"How are you feeling now that you're here?" Jungkook watches him.
"hmm...I think things are gonna be okay." He holds onto Jungkook a little tighter.
