Pain

Chapter 4

I left my number for Adam before I snuck out of his bed and I'm hoping he's not mad that I left. I feel bad the more I think about it but I just met him, he's too good to be true and that's what scares me the most. I don't expect him to call me or want to talk to me after just leaving like that.

 I get through my front door and make my way to the living room before collapsing onto the couch, in case he calls me I plug my phone into the charger.

A little later I go upstairs to my room and take off my jacket, I look at the time and realize I have to go to work soon. damn, after I shower I throw on my black slacks and I put a white blouse on, I put my hair up in a messy bun then grab my keys and my phone then take my purse with me. I put my shoes on then walk outside to my car, I got in and started driving. I'm a waitress at a very fancy and expensive restaurant its not that bad when your not a waitress for a rich snobby pervert but luckily we don't get those very often. 

When I walk into the restaurant I check my phone, I got a missed call from Adam, he even texted me. I do owe him an explanation. I start calling him and he answers on the third ring.

Adam: Hello?

Me: Hey, I just wanna say I'm really sorry for just up and leaving like that..I'll make it up to you though

Adam: It's alright, I was actually wondering if maybe you would like to have lunch with me today?

Me: I'm so sorry but I cant, I'm working today.

Adam: Oh

Me: Tonight you should come to my house, or we can go see a movie together

Adam: I'll see if I can...I gotta go, bye

He hangs up before I can say anything, he sounded a little disappointed. I wish I could take the day off but I doubt my boss would be up for that. I really want to see Adam, just thinking about his dreamy blue eyes and his tall muscular frame could make me melt away. He probably lost interest in me after that, he's probably not going to call me or message me anymore and if he saw me he would just turn and walk away like I was some stranger he once got to know, making him the one who got away. 

Work has been the usual, lot's of people coming and going, a few guys hit on me and I didn't notice I just didn't care, that's when I just switch tables with someone else who's working today. About two hours of hell and torture my day took a different turn. "Check out Mr. EyeCandy over there" I over hear Stacy say to Gwen, they work with me and their nice, well mostly Stacy but me and Gwen have had some differences. I choose to ignore them and I walk over to a table. "Hello may I start you guys off with a drink?".

 I look up to see Adam and a few of his friends I instantly recognized as his bandmates sitting down, a smile forming on Adams face. "Guys this is Rain" one sitting almost across from him smiles and says "So this is the girl you haven't shut up about since last night, that's so adorable" Adam blushes. "That was Neil who remind me to kill later, next to him is Barry and next to me is Brad" I smile at them and say hey. "Sit with us" I shake my head and say "I can't. I'm working remember, my boss wouldn't go for that" Adam just smiles and they tell me what they want to drink. "I will be right back with your drinks" I walk off to get the drinks I glance over at the table to find Adam watching me. I start to blush and get back to the drinks.

 I grab them and walk back over then put there drinks down in front of them. They all were polite and said thank you and Adam said "Thanks gorgeous". "Your very welcome, I will give you guys some time to think about what you want to eat" I smile at them then start to walk off, suddenly I'm grabbed by the waist and pulled into Adams lap. "Please sit with us, let me deal with your boss" I look him in the eyes almost as if I was hypnotized, I gave in to what I really wanted. 

"Alright but if I get fired I will hurt you" I move black hair out of his face and get a good look at his amazing blue eyes, the expression on his face softens up as he looks up at my eyes and he gives me that Adam Gontier smile, I rub my finger tips against his cheek a few times then rest my arms around his neck, and his arms move around my waist, his hand reaches up and he takes my hair down. This causes my bangs to fall over the side of my face and he moves it tucking it behind my ear, I lean my face a little closer as he glances at my lips. "Rain!!" when my name gets yelled I get startled and look up to see my boss, pissed off. I get off of Adam's lap and walk over to him. "Gwen will be taking over for your tables, you and I are going to have a little talk" I nod and follow him as Gwen walks past me, she gives me a bitchy smile as she walks over to the table. 

Shortly later I walk out of his mini office in the back. I look over and see Gwen flirting with Adam and he's smiling while kinda going along with it, Brad see's me and nudges him. He looks at me and I quickly walk out the doors, It's not so much that I'm mad cause we aren't dating but for me It's really awkward and also getting fired I wanted out of there quickly. I walk up to my car, throw the purse in the passenger seat then I get in and drive out of the parking lot, I sigh.

Once I get home I put my purse down then take off my shoes and lay down on the couch. Not even five minutes later there was a knock on my door, I went over to the door and opened it to see Adam. "I'm really sorry...I went to run after you but you already drove off so I got in my car and followed you home. let me make this up to you, I didn't mean to get you fired" I smile a little and let him come in. He takes off his leather jacket. "I'm going to hurt you, you got me fired Mr. Gontier.." I fold my arms across my chest, this apparently amuses him cause he smiles. "Oh really, your gonna hurt me huh?" he takes a step closer and I take a step back. "Yes you ass" I look up at him. He takes a step closer and I back up. "I'd like to see you try" he steps loser and I step back against the wall. His eyes locked with mine as he puts his hands onto my waist and his eyes glanced down to my lips then back to my eyes.

 "Your blushing" he says quietly in a very seductive voice. I start pulling him closer as he leans in, our lips almost meeting but suddenly he just smiles and backs away, teasing me. "Let's go see a movie" he says in a cheerful excited voice as if he were a little kid. "Asshole" I muttered causing him to laugh. What a tease..
