I've spent a few days here, just around my new apartment, acclimatizing to the new time zone and sorting out all of our possessions. My 6 year old brother hasn't been doing too well in the new time zone, he wakes up at 2 in the morning and wont go back to sleep, but he's slowly getting there. I look to my desk and see the piles of notes and countless essays. I moved here because they have a really good history program at the museum, apparently its way better than the one in London so I took the chance and moved here. Each student had to specialise in a specific historical era, I chose Egyptology. It has always fascinated me. I think I should pay the museum a visit. "Joshua!" I called to my brother who was sat in the living room watching TV. He came running into my room. "You wanna go to the museum?"

"yeahh!" he said holding his arms out for a hug. I picked him up into my arms and gave him a hug. I'm more of a mother than a sister to him. We hailed a cab and made our way to the museum. I looked at a sign outside. "New night program!" Started a few weeks ago. Hmm may have to check that out. May come back later. As we stepped into the museum we were met by a huge, complete, T-Rex skeleton. "Woah!!"  My bother exclaimed, "That's cool!" He ran over to a wax figure of Theodore Roosevelt, "Who's that?"

"Teddy Roosevelt, our 26th president." A female voice said from behind us. I turned to see a young looking woman walking over to us. "Would you two like a tour?"

"Uh, could he?" I said putting my hand atop my brothers head. "I'm just here to check out your Egyptology department."

"Of course, come with me, uh."

"Josh." I added in for her. She led Josh on a tour and I headed off to the Egyptology department. I read the sign outside the doorway. "Home to the Tablet and Sarcophagus of the Pharaoh Ahkmenrah."  No way. I've been studying this Pharaoh for ages. He was they younger of two brothers and was given the throne at the age of around 15. I walked in past the two huge black statues of the jackle headed god Anubis. They must've been a good 20 feet tall. I strode over to the case within which rested the beautiful sarcophagus. I ran my hand over the glass itching to touch this beautiful artefact.

"Excuse me miss?" a male voice rang through the huge chamber. I turned to see a security guard. He walked over to me. "Were you going to touch it?"

"N-no. I was admiring the amazing craftsmanship. Forgive me I am Niamh, Niamh Short. History student." I offered my hand which he shook.

"Larry, Daley. Night guard. I'm afraid you're going to have to leave while we set up for the night program. If you are interested in his sort of thing I suggest you come back later."

"I will." I started walking out. "Thanks for the tip." I smiled back at him. I found Joshua and thanked the woman for the tour. I took Josh to a small coffee shop, before returning to the museum. I walked in and the T-Rex skeleton moved. yeh I could see it was animatronics but it was still cool. The figure of Teddy Roosevelt was gone. I looked around the room and saw a guy that looked exactly like him riding around on a horse. What on earth? This is amazing. I was just walking around looking at all the amazing actors, I was stopped by a Hun and had a monkey sat on my shoulder.

"Dexter get back here." That sounded like that Larry guy. The monkey jumped off my shoulder as he walked over to me. "I'm sorry about him. he should be more polite."

"No Its cool, not every day I get a Capuchin sat on my shoulder."

"You should go down to the Egyptology, I think you'll like what you find."

"Okay." I walked back to where the Egyptology department was, I walked in and the Heads of the two Anubis statues tracked me. I feel like I'm doing something wrong I stopped by the sarcophagus and looked over into it. It was now open and there was no mummy inside. The Anubis statues wouldn't stop watching me. I felt like I wasn't showing the proper respect that these artefacts deserved. I slowly moved my right foot back so that I was standing with my left foot forward. To my surprise the Anubis statues returned their gaze away from me. I showed respect and they left me alone.
