Charlie's mother died a year ago from cancer. She meant everything to him. He lived with his dad, who was drunk all the time. Charlie's dad treated him horribly, because of his drinking problem.
Grace was all Charlie had, but now that was lost, forgotten; perhaps.
Charlie had felt so insecure, and felt that it wasn't worth him living.
That night, Grace called Charlie. His phone rang, but his dad answered it.
" Oh my god Charlie, I am so sorry! All that Connor said wasn't true. He put words in my mouth, I hope you understand. Anyway, I didn't ring you for that, but to tell you... I love you. I love you Charlie."
