19 - 3 Years Later

Tanya's P.O.V

3 years after the incident...

The paint on the walls had finally dried in the house and I and Dylan were starting to move in new furniture to our new house. The living room was already perfected with light brown and white walls and leather sofas and fairy lights, and the house already felt like home.

In the 3 years we had graduated and both got jobs. I was working at the local secondary teaching English and Physical Education and Dylan was taking an apprenticeship to be a doctor to help those in needs. I still kept in touch with my other friends but not as much for many reasons really, like I was busy at work and most my friends were as well.

Daniel moved to the UK to join the armed forces there, Noah and Aaron were still together and were traveling round the world and lastly Lizzie was a model for magazines and Whitney had surprisingly moved to the UK and got together with Daniel and started studying at Oxford.

I started to assemble the beds upstairs making sure the house was ready for tonight when Dylan came up behind me and put his hands on his shoulders screaming 'BOO'.

"AHHH" I screamed at the top of my lungs, my heart pumping with adrenaline.

"Come downstairs I have a surprise..." Dylan told me excitedly and I went down the stairs with him, hand in hand.

"Wait there for a minute!" he told me and I stayed where I was for a minute before he shouted me in. I walked in the room and the fairy lights were hanging from the ceiling and scented candles were scattered round the room, as well as that the room was heated and comfy as the fire place was lit, the flames dancing around and flickering, and in this moment I felt at home. I looked around for Dylan and there he was on the floor on...one knee.

"Tanya, this may be soon but because our life together may be shorter than others...will you marry me?" he asked me.

I'm guessing you can all guess what I said, right?
