"Who the hell are you?" I asked, frowning at the figure in confusion. Before they answered, they too jumped out of the window, landing on the same ledge-like think that I was currently standing on.

It was a boy, he appeared to be the same age as me. His raven black hair was messy, had he only just woken up too? "I could ask you the same question." He smirked, not bothering to turn around.

"Oh, yeah. Oops. I'm Jay, and you are?" I raised an eyebrow at the boy. He stiffened and remained silent as I heard footsteps echo in the room above us. "Right that's it, introductions can wait. Come on!" I whispered to him, grabbing onto his arm as I leaped off the ledge and onto the one below it. The boy had also landed on his feet and before I could get a word in he jumped down to the left, dragging me with him.

I landed on the grass on my feet, wobbled slightly, then I toppled over. I had not been ready for that at all. The boy remained silent and merely dragged me towards a woods, once inside, he let go of my arm (somehow he had grabbed onto me instead during the whole thing).

The boy turned to look at me and smirked, "you didn't scream like a baby when jumping off a building like most of the other girls would, I'm impressed." He teased, sticking out his hand. "My name is Natsume Hyuuga, and no, it isn't a pleasure to meet you."

It took my mind a second to process just who was standing in front of me. "Uh... Who?"

The boy in front of me raised an eyebrow at my baffled response, had he honestly been expecting me to know who he is? Is he that vain? Unless he's some kind of infamous fugitive that everyone in the school knows about - which would explain why I'm currently in the dark on this seeing as I've literally been here for... How long have I been here for...?

"Um... Sorry, give me a second dude. I'm sure I've heard your name somewhere before..." I mumbled to him, attempting to be wary of the amount of noise I was making due to the fact that we were still getting looked for, well, he was. I'm not sure if they had recognised me.

The black haired boy had a look of irritation forming on his face from being forced to wait, but he silently complied.

"Okay dude I'm done- wait. Did you say your name was Natsume Hyuuga?!" I finally realised why the name had sounded so familiar... Gakuen Alice! 'Why am i such an idiot?! This is the second time i've bumped into a character and I failed to notice who it was again!' I scolded myself internally, a scowl settling on my face as I did so. I decided in my head that it would be in my best interest to try and get better at recognising the characters so that something like this didn't happen again.

The smirk he had been wearing originally appeared on his face, Natsume opened his mouth to reply but immediately shut it when the sound of footsteps became audible.
Welp, apparently it was time to run again.

I sighed, grabbing onto the boy's sleeve as I once again found myself pulling him along. "Now that I think about it, you've been here for longer than me! So why aren't you the one leading us to the hiding spots?" I asked him as I pulled him to the left, managing to fit the both of us behind a tree. I held my breath as the heavy footsteps passed our location, only sighing heavily when I was 100% sure we were safe, for now at least.

"I was going to ask you how you knew where to go, after all, you're new here aren't you?" He finally replied to my earlier inquiry. I looked everywhere but his face and smiled shamelessly.
