He remained silent and grabbed onto my arm. "Off we go~" he cheered. It seemed like his usual (at least according to the anime and manga) personality had returned. Before I could run off or think of a good response, the purple gemstone in his hand started to glow bright, like, really bright.

The vivid light soon became unbearable to look at. I tried to turn away, but the light followed me. It took over my vision at a frightening pace. Soon enough, the blinding white was the only thing I could visible to me. Everything was white. No variation. Just a vast, colourless land. It was over in seconds though, and before I could protest in my blinded state I slipped from consciousness, I allowed the comfortable darkness to envelop me.

My eyes snapped open and I scanned the foreign environment in confusion. Where was I? I stood up and brushed myself off, attempting to straighten my disheveled appearance. I took in the style of the room, blank walls, plain and simple decoration and a cream carpet. I was back in my old room. I frowned, something was missing...  It was too quiet in here. Jay! Where was she? Was she safe? Did he... He got her too, didn't he? Damn it!

I walked over to the door and turned the handle, it wouldn't budge. The damn blonde knew I'd try this, didn't he? Wait, does this mean...? "Where's the mirror...?" I grumbled to myself, scanning the room. I pulled open random drawer in the desk opposite the bed and grabbed the conveniently placed pocket mirror. 'At least that's still there...'

My eyes widened as I looked at my reflection, my eyes were big and anime-like once again, my hair was shiny and my face was flawless. It was also five years younger than I
remembered. 'Welp there goes my wonderful 15 year old looks, I enjoyed them while they lasted.' I thought to myself. The door swung open and I quickly stuffed the mirror back in the drawer and closed it.

Narumi stood just outside my bedroom, "Did you sleep well?" He asked, smiling.

"Why on earth would I tell you?" I replied, glaring at the blonde. He shrugged nonchalantly, not moving from the doorway. I'm assuming that means I can't go out that way... Or can i?

I smirked, taking a few subtle steps towards Narumi. "So, where's my friend?" I inquired, my gaze always connecting to his own.

"Jay's asleep and no, you can't see her yet." He stated, it seemed as though those weren't his thoughts on the matter as his facial expression had turned slightly sour - even if it only showed for a second.

"Right, right" I chuckled, "are the still scared of me pulling a second grand escape attempt?" I raised an eyebrow in amusement, "I'm a ten year-old girl who never should've been given the chance to escape to another dimension - nevermind one that only knows about the existence of alice's due to some form of a book." I mumbled, it had not been my intention to spill my thoughts out in front of the blonde teacher, but apparently my mind had decided differently.

"Can I please just see Jay? I just want to ensure that she's safe." I admitted, worry lacing my voice.

"Would it help if I told you she was safe? Would you take my word for it?" He asked half-heartedly. I gave him an 'are you serious' look. "Yeah, didn't think so." He added silently as he smiled weakly.

"Pleaaaase can you take me to go see Jay...?" I pouted, looking at the adult with big innocent eyes. Narumi stared into space for a second, as if he was debating whether or not it would be a good idea.

Eventually, a defeated sigh escaped his lips, causing a small smirk to appear on my face. "Fine, just a quick visit though. If anyone asks, we're just passing through. Okay?" He explained sternly, to which I nodded to excitedly and ran over to the door, with him in tow.
