I follow Thomas downstairs into the kitchen and turn off the stove as he retrieves three plates from the cabinets. I take one from him and pour the bacon onto one side, and then gently place the eggs on the other side. I take the frypan and set it in the sink, and begin to wash it. "You don't have to do that," Thomas says. "It's no big deal," I smile. He wraps his arms around me from behind and places his hands on mine, helping me wash the pan. He removes his arms from around me, and grabs the dish sponge from my hands, then wipes it on my cheek. "Thomas!" I yell. I quickly reach forward to take the sponge from his hands, and wipe it along his jaw, causing soap to stick to his face. He stands back and pouts, crossing his arms and making a frown. As I walk toward the sink to pick up the wash rag, Thomas picks me up from behind and spins me around. "Put me down!" I demand, but still laughing as he continues to spin. He finally allows me to place my feet back onto the floor, and I almost lose my balance before Thomas catches me. "You're a jerk," I laugh. I make my way over to the sink once more, and grab a wash rag in the nearest drawer, then rinse it under warm water. I turn around to face Thomas, and wipe his jaw as a smirk appears on his face. As I go to wipe the soap from my face, Thomas takes the rag from my hand and wipes my cheek. "So what do you have planned for today?" Thomas asks as we each take a plate from the counter. I place an egg and two pieces of bacon on my plate, then sit down at the kitchen table. "Why are you asking?" I smirk. "Well I had something in mind," he smiles as he sits down on the opposite side of the table. "Dylan's birthday is tomorrow, but we're having a surprise birthday party for him today. Everybody's going to be there, so I thought maybe you'd like to meet them?" I shoot up from my chair, and a huge smile spreads across my face. "I can't believe I'm going to meet Dylan, and Will, and Ki, and Kaya!" I say in a high pitched voice. "Hey, you already met the best one of them all," he says, his British accent thickening with every word. "And who is that?" I make a confused look, and then start laughing. "Haha, you're very funny," he says. I take my seat, and finish eating. Thomas continues to eat while I finish up the dishes, then wash my hands. "So, what did you get Dylan for his birthday?" I ask as I walk back to the table. "I haven't actually bought anything for him yet." "Wait, what time is the party?" I glance over at the clock on the stove, which says 10:36. "It starts at one," he says taking his plate to the sink. "Do you have at least an idea of what to get him?" I ask. "Not one." "Well you could always make him something, it would mean a lot more than a gift card anyway," I say. "I'm not good at that stuff," he says. "Good thing I am," I laugh. "I think I have an idea, but we'll need to go shopping." "Sounds good to me," he smiles. "Oh, and do you have a lot of pictures on your phone of you guys together?" "Uh, yeah." Without another word, Thomas grabs his keys and we both slip on our shoes before hurrying out the door.
