That girl was none other than……
Ruhi Singhania, sister of The Rajveer Singhania…
Ruhi, who was Rajveer’s real sister, carried many secrets hidden in her heart. Countless thoughts kept running through her mind. Earlier, she used to share everything with her dearest friend or rather, the closest person to her. But he too had left her, for reasons unknown, and they drifted apart. Now there was no contact between them. So whenever Ruhi felt low, she would talk to his photo instead…
And now, when she found herself lost in a storm of confusion her marriage had been fixed, a decision she had agreed to only for the sake of her family’s happiness she felt completely helpless. She couldn’t understand what to do, nor did she have any choice left. At that moment, there was only one person she could turn to: Rajveer, her brother…
Though he wasn’t the kind who spoke much with the family, whenever trouble struck, he was always the one standing firmly by their side. This time was no different. When she couldn’t make sense of her own feelings, she went to him…
Flashback…
Ruhi: Bhai… Rajat’s parents came today. They came to talk about the marriage… (fidgeting with her dupatta)
Rajveer: What did they say?
Ruhi: They want the wedding to happen next month, because Rajat has to go abroad for business. And since no one knows when he’ll be back, they’re hoping to settle things before he leaves…
Rajveer: What do you want?
Ruhi: Bhai…
Ruhi had just spoken those words when Ishqi’s phone rang. She excused herself and stepped aside to take the call. Once Ishqi left, Rajveer glanced at Ruhi and gave her a subtle signal, urging her to continue speaking…
Ruhi: Brother… I don’t know, something doesn’t feel right. It’s as if Rajat is hiding something from us, keeping it close, and I… I just… I can’t shake the feeling th‑that he’s… he’s…
Rajveer: What happened? Tell me clearly…
Ruhi: There’s another reason behind his wish to marry me… a motive he hasn’t revealed… (With her head bowed, she murmured quietly)
Rajveer: And what makes you feel like that…
Ruhi: Because yesterday I saw him with a girl outside his house. I was passing that way just as they were coming out together, and their expressions, their body language… it all clearly showed that they were in a relationship…
Rajveer: Did you actually see the girl?
Ruhi: No… I wasn’t able to see her face, but I clearly saw Rajat with her, and… (She stumbled over her words, growing hesitant to continue)
Rajveer: And… what?
Ruhi: I… I saw Rajat with her… his face so close to her and their movements unmistakable… he was… he was k‑kissing her…
The moment Rajveer heard this, his eyes flared red with anger and his fists tightened. Yet he didn’t want Ruhi to notice, so he forced himself to calm down at once. A heavy silence settled across the room after Ruhi spoke, so still it felt as though someone had switched on a heater, Ruhi too felt that strange heat inside her. But she chose not to react. Slowly, she turned her gaze toward Rajveer, who sat staring fixedly at his own hands. Minutes passed in that uneasy quiet… until finally, Rajveer broke the silence…
Rajveer: You should go rest, it’s gotten quite late…
Ruhi nodded her head and quietly walked away. Talking to Rajveer tonight had lightened the burden she carried, and now she was certain that he would do something, he would never let her marry that wretched man. With that thought bringing her a strange sense of relief, she went to her room and finally drifted off to sleep…
