The party was alive with laughter, music, and glittering lights, but beneath the surface, storms were brewing. Ishqi stood quietly on the balcony, lost in her thoughts, when the sharp click of heels echoed behind her. She turned, startled, and found Meera standing there, swirling a glass of wine with deliberate elegance, her eyes scanning Ishqi from head to toe with disdain...

Meera stepped closer, circling Ishqi like a predator savoring its prey. Her voice dripped with venom as she began:

Meera: Tell me, what do you have that I don't? Look at me, I'm rich, beautiful, powerful. Men crave women like me. I have everything a man could ever desire. And yet... Rajveer chose you. Why? Why would a man like him waste his time on someone like you?...

Ishqi's brows furrowed in confusion.

"What do you mean?"

Meera's lips curled into a cruel smile...

Meera: I mean, what could Rajveer Singhania possibly see in an orphan girl like you? You're nothing but a street rat dressed up in borrowed dignity. Do you really think you belong in his world? You're a charity case, Ishqi. A pathetic little girl clinging to a man far beyond your reach...

The mention of Rajveer's name sent a chill down Ishqi's spine. Her heart raced, how did Meera know? Their relationship was hidden, known only to a few trusted souls. Meera had just arrived, yet she spoke with certainty...

Meera leaned in, her words cutting deeper:

Meera: You're delusional if you think Rajveer loves you. Men like him don't fall for gutter-born girls. He's using you, for his desires, for his amusement. And when he's done, he'll discard you like filth. Do you know why the world doesn't know you're his wife? Because he's ashamed of you. If he truly loved you, the world would bow to you as Mrs. Singhania. But instead, you're his dirty little secret...

Her voice rose, crueler with every word:

Meera: You're nothing but a parasite feeding off his wealth. Girls like you don't deserve men like Rajveer. You're a stain, Ishqi. A reminder of poverty, of weakness. Do you even know whose blood runs in your veins? Orphaned, abandoned, probably the child of some nameless gutter trash. That's what you are. Trash...

Ishqi's eyes filled with tears, her chest tightening with rage and humiliation. She snapped, her voice trembling but fierce:

Ishqi: Just shut up! Shut... up! Who are you to speak to me like this?...

Her hand flew across Meera's face, the slap echoing in the night air...

Meera staggered back, her eyes blazing with fury. She hissed, her voice sharp as a blade:

Meera: How dare you! How dare you lay a hand on Meera Sehgal! You think being Rajveer's wife makes you untouchable? That pride will shatter soon. Because Rajveer Singhania doesn't love you, he never did. He'll spit you out of his life like a fly drowned in tea. And when that day comes, you'll realize you were nothing more than his mistake...

Her words struck Ishqi like daggers, each syllable tearing at her heart. Ishqi stood frozen, her breath uneven, her soul trembling under the weight of Meera's cruelty. The balcony lights flickered against her pale face, revealing the cracks in her strength. For the first time, Ishqi felt the terrifying possibility that Meera's words might be true, that her love, her marriage, her very existence in Rajveer's world could collapse at any moment...

______________

Rajveer was sitting quietly in his place, but his sharp eyes noticed something unusual. Misha and the others looked worried, their faces tense, as if something was wrong. Rajveer's instincts told him to get up and go check, maybe even search for Ishqi. Just as he was about to leave, Mr. Sehgal walked over and started talking to him...
