I stared blankly at Raven, then looked behind us, then back at Raven.
"Um, an explanation, please?" I asked. So Raven explained how those people we had heard had sounded like people who had been chasing her. They wanted to kill her, so she had been running from them until she could find a weapon. But then, more had come then she expected, so she was trying to prepare.
"Well, maybe we can find some other people around here. The more allies we have, the better, right?" I suggested. She nodded.
"Should we split up? We could cover more ground." Raven pointed out. I shook my head.
"No. That's the worst thing we could do right now. One of us could get killed without the other one knowing." I replied. So we stuck together as we kept moving.
