<Louis' POV>

Well, Jess just explained me why she had lip gloss in her purse and I felt myself tense. I could tell she noticed but pretended she didn't. It's a good thing I can read her eyes perfectly.

For some reason, I felt this weird wave flow through me. I couldn't put my finger on it.

Do I fancy her? I don't even know myself. Plus, if I did, she wouldn't like me back. She must think I have a big ego or something. And why would a girl like her fall in love with a guy like me? It doesn't even make sense.

She digs through her purse some more and then says, "I think I left my keys in the shop when I bought the bottle of water."

I look at her confused.

"When did you buy a bottle of water?" I ask, raising my brow.

"I'll explain later." She whispers, leaning towards me.

"Well, aren't you gonna go get your keys?" Pen asks.

"I don't think it's safe to go outside right now." Jessica says, referring to the screaming girls outside. I agree with her. Unless we wanna get mobbed, we go outside.

"Why don't I go get it for you?" Pen suggests flashing a smile.

"Sure!" Jess says.

Tess leaves the house to get the keys, leaving me alone with Jess. I look at her waiting for her to explain when she bought that bottle and what were we doing at her neighbor's house.

"I couldn't find my keys in my purse when we were running so I came here. And after the jet ski ride I went to a shop to buy a bottle of water or else I would faint." She explained.

I could tell she was uncomfortable with the topic of her fainting and I wondered why.

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" I ask her.

"About what?" She asks.

"About you fainting." I tell her.

"Oh, well, um, I knew you would pity me and I don't like it when people do that." She said, quickly.

She was getting more uncomfortable by the minute. But I still wanted to know more.

"Um can we please talk about something else?" She begs me.

"Sure. About what?"

"Tell me about yourself. What's your favorite color?" She asks.

"Red." I reply her.

And just like that I spent an hour with her. Although I wanted to know why she was so uncomfortable about that topic, I enjoyed it. Then Pen came back with Jessica's keys.

"I finally found it," she said while panting. I wonder what happened to her.

"I almost got mobbed by those girls out there." She says. It's like she read my mind. "They thought I was Jess."

Well, someone could make that mistake. They did look alike. But I find Jess more beautiful.

Then Jess and I headed home. The girls were gone do we could just walk to her house. Once we reached there, we talked some more and got to know each other better.

I noticed when I talked about my family, my sisters in particular, she always tensed and tried to change the topic. I wonder what is it. I want her to trust me already and just tell me why. Why is she avoiding that topic? Did something happen with her brother? If he abused her, I will beat him black and blue.
