The blonde duo continued their routine of Annie coming over everyday then ending it with Armin walking her to her job hand in hand. Annie had been more open with him as they sat together everyday, continuing their conversations and starting new ones. The little interaction that took place the first time he walked her to her job wasn't brought up again, but the next day Armin could see a difference in her actions. Instead of keeping to herself and being a woman very little words, she would come into home room even a little earlier to have more time to talk to the boy, laughing and smiling along with him.

Annie wasn't sure of what to the think of the situation with him. It was obvious that he liked her, and that she liked him but neither of them took the step to do anything about it, afraid of ruining the moment entirely. That is until Friday when they were both on Armin's couch and we're finishing up for the day.

The shorter blonde could see a difference in the way he was acting, he seemed nervous and couldn't look her in the eyes long before blushing and looking away.

She stood up and waited for Armin while he stored what they had done of their project away. He nodded as he walked past her to get the door. Both of them exited and Armin held his hand out for Annie with an anxious smile. She grasped his hand but gave him a suspicious look, what are you thinking about, Arlert?

They spent the first fifteen minutes of the twenty minute walk in an unusual silence before Annie spoke up. "Is everything alright, Armin?" Peering over at him with confusion in her voice.

The boy in question let out a heavy sigh, the temperature of his face rising as it had been all day. What's the worst that can happen? He tried to boost his confidence but his face fell when he put more thought into it. She can reject me and I'll ruin everything.

She noticed his glum look and her expression turned serious. "Armin-"

"Willyougooutwithme." He rushed out in one breath, closing his eyes as his embarrassment took over.

"Huh? Can you repeat that?" She raised a brow but couldn't help but admire how adorable he looked in his vulnerable state.

Armin released the breath he was holding and brought his free hand to run through his hair. He stopped walking and she stood beside him waiting.

He brought himself to look at her, "I was w-wondering if you would like to..." he looked away from her puzzled eyes before he'd mess up for the second time, "To go out with me tomorrow."

Annie stared at him for a moment before a small smile made its way on her lips and stifled a laugh. So that's what he's been so worked up about?

He glanced over at her, confusion washing over his features as he saw her smiling. The poor boy wasn't sure what to do.

The smile she held only grew at the look on his face. She couldn't help but let out a light laugh before a faint blush crept up to her cheeks. "I don't see why not."

Armin felt like weights had been lifted off his shoulders at her answer, releasing a happy smile of his own. "Great! What time should I come get you?" He asked with his newly found courage.

The blonde beside him started walked again and pulled him along to join her, her smile turning into a sly smirk. "I'm just focused on getting to work on time." Shaking her head in amusement as he blushed out of embarrassment for holding her back and apologized.

Her workplace came into sight and they stopped a few steps from the front entrance. "I'll text you later." Armin said before she was about to turn to leave.

Annie nodded and lifted herself up on her toes to plant a kiss on his cheek. "Until then." She repeated the words he used on her. Another sly smile appeared as she released her hand from his and walked into the facility.
