{Authors POV}
Both SoonHee and Jungkook stand next to each other as they watch MinAh being buried into the ground. SoonHee sneaks a glance at Jungkook to see that he's just staring blankly at the coffin that MinAh is laying in.
"You feeling okay?" SoonHee asks him as she rests her hand on his shoulder. He doesn't respond and his facial expression is still the same.
SoonHee looks towards MinAh's family to see them hugging each other and crying their eyes out.
While she, on the other hand, was almost emotionless.
She's been to a funeral before, he's best friends funeral, and many others...
Ever since the day her best friend died though, she's learned to not get too emotionally attached to anyone, but that's when Jimin stepped in.
He changed her and helped her to become her old self, sort of.
There's just one thing that hasn't changed about her, and it's that she'll never cry at a funeral ever again.
In her opinion, crying at a funeral just makes the funeral a whole lot more depressing then it already is.
So she learned to stay emotionless, that way, to her, it would seem as if the death is the same as her emotional state; Non-existent.
She's broken from her thoughts when she hears a sniffle beside her. She looks to her right to see Jungkook, holding in his tears as he bites the inside of his cheek. Her facial expression turns from a clean slate to a worried one as she wipes a stray tear that has fallen from his eyes.
"Thank you", he mutters and SoonHee nods.
"Mhm", she hums as she looks back towards the grieving family in front of them.
"Apparently cancer is in their genetics", Jungkook says as he tries to stop his voice from shaking.
SoonHee looks towards him once again to see him now staring at MinAh's family.
"Apparently her grandmother and her little sister had cancer", Jungkook continues as SoonHee glances back towards the family.
"I see..." SoonHee says as she continues to watch the small family cry silently.
"Are you okay, SoonHee?" Jungkook asks as he looks at her emotionless face.
"Of course. I'm fine", SoonHee says as the family talks about how much MinAh was loved by everyone.
"You sure?" He asks and SoonHee takes another look at him. She nods and Jungkook scoffs as he looks in front of him.
"Why are you always trying to hide your feelings away", he mutters and SoonHee doesn't reply. She stays silent and continues to watch his face.
"Why aren't you crying? Usually if someone's friend dies, that person would do something... Anything instead of just standing there, doing nothing and saying nothing", he says and looks at her. She quickly looks away and Jungkook stands in front of her.
"What are you hiding?" Jungkook asks her and she avoids his eye contact.
She can start to feel the guilt of not telling him about MinAh sooner starting to slowly creep in...
She knew something like this would happen. She knew she wouldn't be able to keep it from him...
"SoonHee, answer me", Jungkook says as he takes a step closer. The people at the funeral start to take their leave as the funeral finally finishes.
"I'm not hiding anything", she says in a stern voice. Jungkook shakes his head and says, "you are a terrible liar." She starts to grow worried as she continues to look everywhere, anywhere but Jungkook.
