Three

Blake had stayed over until about midnight, after we got take out for dinner and watched some more TV. I even got him to admit Drake was better than Meek Mill. I woke up the next morning with a text from Siena asking if I wanted to come over for a get together she was having at her new house. She recently opened an athletic wear line and opened up a store on Melrose recently. I helped her out with the designs and mostly business decisions since I majored in entrepreneurship in college. With all of her success, she's earned a lot of money so she wanted to celebrate her new house and the big steps of her company.

Before I went over to her house I decided to stop at the store to pick up some food to bring. Knowing her, she probably didn't buy enough. She's clueless sometimes. I had the grocery store basket in my hand and was walking down the isles, trying to choose what to pick up when I thought I saw someone I knew down the isle. Ignoring that feeling, I finished getting everything and paid at the register. While walking out the sliding doors, there was a clicking noise and I heard footsteps.

"Valentina! Valentina!" A man called out. I just ignored and kept walking to my car. "So, what happened between Blake and that cameraman yesterday? Any details?" I just slipped my sunglasses over my eyes and kept walking to my car, blocking out every word he said. I just got into my car, peacefully without anyone blocking my way, and drove over to Kayla's house.

Once I got there, nobody answered the door so I walked around the side gate and into the backyard. Everyone was back there either in the pool or on the deck. Everyone was there: Myra, Blake, Kayla, Deandre, and more. I placed the stuff I bought out on the table and went to find Siena.

"You're here!" She says, hugging me. "Thanks for bringing more food. I didn't get enough when I went shopping earlier." She laughed.

"I knew you wouldn't get enough." I shake my head. Mostly everyone was in their bikinis and swim trunks, so I stripped down into mine and put my bag on an empty chair. Myra was standing on top of the pool's waterfall and dancing.

"Don't fall!" I yell, smiling at her.

She looks down at me and smiles. "Don't worry, I won't!" she says before coming down from there. She runs up to me and grabs my hand. "Dance with meeeeee."

"Myra, how much have you drank?" I ask, dancing with her to the music.

"Just a few, I think." She says, twirling and swaying her hips.

Adam walks up to us and smiles, "How was your birthday?" He asks, pulling me into a hug.

"It was great, thanks! I feel old." I laugh, pulling away from the hug.

"The party was the best. Better than Siena's party when everyone was jumping off of the roof into the pool." We all laughed and talked some more. I looked up when I felt a hand wrap around my waist. He looked down at me with his dark brown eyes and smiled.

"Hey."

"Hey, B." I smiled, pulling him into a quick hug. He took a sip out of his cup and joined in on the conversation.

"Valentinaaaaaa!" Deandre yelled, coming from the other side of the patio.

"DJ!" I yelled back, dragging out his name as well. We have been close friends ever since Blake signed with the Clippers. Since I was always with Blake, DJ and I were always together also. They were like a package deal.

"I'm sorry I couldn't make it to your birthday party. But happy late birthday." He pulls me into a big bear hug.

"Thanks, DJ. It means a lot. We missed you there. You're always the life of the party."
