"What do you mean, 'I'm coming in half an hour'? You said you were coming at one!" I groan, rolling out of bed and tying my hair up in a bun. My phone was resting between my shoulder and my jawline as I did so.
"See you then." Blake said through the phone.
I hung up and placed my phone down on the counter before taking a quick body shower. I wore my hair in its naturally curly state and put on some concealer so I would appear a little less dead. My phone kept buzzing but I ignored it; I didn't feel like talking to anyone else right now. I was tired from staying up so late last night. I didn't stay up too late at Blake's, but by the time I got home I couldn't sleep. I pulled on some black leggings, a tight grey tank top, and a red flannel along with my black nike free runs. I pulled my heavy suitcase to the door and set it by the wall before grabbing my phone and carry on bag. Blake knocked on the door with his heavy hands and I opened it, pushing the handle of my suitcase into his hands.
"You can take that for me since you decided to change the whole plan." I rolled my eyes and locked the door behind me.
"Someones angry." He follows me down to his car. "You really don't pack light, do you." He says, while lifting my suitcase and placing it in the trunk. After closing the trunk door, he gets into the drivers seat beside me and drives off to the airport. Once we get into the parking garage of LAX, I slide my sunglasses down and Blake does the same along with his snapback. I took my suitcase myself this time, since he had his own.
"Hey, you don't pack light either." I point out.
"My clothes are bigger." He argues.
I sigh, "Whatever, B." He laughs and we make our way toward the checking desk.
"Hi, just these two bags?" The woman behind the desk asks. She had her eye on Blake and batted her eyelashes a few times.
"Just these two." He said politely as he finished filling out the rest of the information on the small screen in front of him.
The woman was weighing my suitcase before stopping and turning to me, "Sorry, this ones a little too heavy. There will be a ten dollar fee." She gave me a sharp look.
I just laughed it off, "Okay, thats fine."
"Have a nice flight." She says; mostly directed toward Blake. He hands me my boarding pass and we get into the line for security.
He chuckled under his breath once we got our place in line. I looked up at him and he laughed again.
"What?" I ask.
"Nothing," He laughs again, "I don't think she liked you too much, that's all."
"No shit. She seemed to like you a lot though." I smile.
"Eh she was alright. She was rude to you, and that's a deal breaker for me." He mentions as we head closer to the security guard. I just let what he said sink in, I didn't really know how to respond. It was quite a compliment though. We got closer to the front of the line and Blake let me go first. I handed my boarding pass to the security guard and he smiled, verifying that it was me.
"Did you go to UCLA?" He asks. I look up and study his features before realizing who he was.
"Jonathan?!"I yell. "Oh my gosh, how are you?"
"I'm great, it's so nice so see you." He flashes me a smile. "I'll see you soon maybe. Have a nice flight." He hands my boarding pass back and I wait for Blake before heading through the line. Blake eyes him up and down and smiles weakly at him as he gets his boarding pass back. As I was placing my items in the boxes on the conveyer belt, Blake followed behind me and did the same.
