I walked up to the front of the school and saw my best friend Avery right where she always meets me. She looked the same as always tall and never gains weight no matter what she eats. I wish I had such luck but I breathe and gain 5 pounds. Her medium length chestnut hair pin straight is held back by her signature wide headband and her dark brown eyes zoom in on the bags in my hand. We started walking towards our lockers with five minutes to spare.
"Omgggg you are the bestest friend everrrr." Avery sqealed as I passed her the breakfast.
"I know I am, you would probably starve without me hun." I cheekily answered.
"Oh whatever K, don't get all high and mighty." She says while taking a huge bite of her sandwich.
" Hm don't act like it's not true." I said while pretending to flip my hair.
While Avery was reminiscing about some of the highlights of her summer, I turned towards my locker to put some of the notebooks I got for my classes inside of it. I closed my locker and turned my head to see why Avery had suddenly stop talking. She was mid bite while staring at something down the hallway where sudden whispers and stares from the students were directed towards.
"What are you..."
And before I could finish my sentence Avery quickly turned me around to see five new students walking down the hall with a powerful and mysterious vibe emitting from them.
"I've never seen them before and the guy in the middle is soooo hot! Actually they all are too attractive to be from here" She whisper shouts while never taking her eyes off them.
"I don't know Avery I get this uneasy feeling around them. I think we should stay away from them and I mean ALL of them Avery even the hot ones." I warned her. My spidey senses are tingling when I look at them and my gut is trying to tell me something.
"Ohh you're just a superstitious grandma but I'll try and listen this time because you've never steered me in the wrong direction ." she said half-hardheartedly.
In the group of five there were three guys and two girls. Two out of the three guys were twins and they were all huge (including the girls) like all of them couldn't have been under 5'9. The guy with the grey eyes in the front of the group seemed to lead the group, like an alpha or something. I don't know what it is about them but I just don't think I should be around them. They do not seem like average high schoolers.
Just as I was about to turn away from them. The grey-eyed guy gaze locked with mine. Now I am a person who hates physical contact unless I give you permission and this guy's stare is breaking each and every one of my bubbles. It felt like he was in my soul searching for something. This... This is giving me anxiety. Suddenly he released me from his hold and continue to walk towards the office with a smirk.
" Avery I... I think we should leave now." I said feeling flustered.
*Ringgggggggggg*
Can I say save by the bell.
"K what was tha..."
I grabbed Avery before she could finish her sentence and sped walk to our first period.

As soon as Avery and I got to the classroom we were already two minutes late. I opened the door and we started walking to the back of the classroom, as soon as we sat down down Ms. Thornley just had to open her mouth. Ms. Thornley was our history teacher, she has been teaching at my school for over 20 years. She is also a very old woman who passed her retire date. She's as blind as bat and is the most miserable person you could ever meet.
