Hermione and Professor Snape walked out of the dungeons. The butterflies were back in her stomach again. She was unsure of what she was suppose to feel for her professor. She looked up to him, but what confused her was that she thought he was quite charming. His smile always made her blush; seeing him shirtless was beyond her breaking point.

The ground was mushy from the rain that had recently fallen. It was still raining outside, but not to the point of soaking them. Professor Snape's hand brushed hers as they walked into the stadium.

She felt sparks go up her arm. She looked at him. He looked at her, smiled, and bid her a goodbye. She rushed to go find Ron and Hagrid. The game was intense, but something was very strange about Harry's new broom. It kept on swinging him to and fro, violently. Ron was scoping the crowd for any signs of a curse, and he found them.

He handed the binoculars to Hermione and she looked to were his finger was pointing. She gasped. Professor Snape was trying to throw Harry from up above. It was frightning, but she knew what must be done. She gave Ron his binoculars back, crawled through the stands, and made her way to the teachers section. She found Professor Snape and Professor McGonagall standing together. McGonagall cheering for Harry to catch the Snitch, while Snape's voice was barely audible over the roaring crowd.

Hermione snuck up really close to his robes, pulled out her wand, and with a flick, a blue flame began to eat at Snape's robes. She turned and ran from the scene, not daring to look back. She heared McGonagall shriek in terror, and Snape's loud gasp of shock. Tears began to roll down Hermione's cheeks as she thought of the fact that one of her professors could do something so vial and cruel.

She wiped the tears from her eyes and joined Ron and Hagrid back in the stands. Neither one noticed her tears. After Harry caught the Snitch, there was an uproar of cheers. Everyone flooded out of the stadium. Hermione bursted through the crowd, running to the castle, Ron, Hagrid, and Harry yelling after her.

Hermione hurled herself into her bed, not bothering to join in on the celebrations downstairs. Later on into the evening, there was a tap tap at the window. Hermione wiped her tears and opened them to the small owl that she and Romeo used to exchange letters. She let him in and the owl dropped the letter and then swooped away into the night, not waiting for her to write a response.

Hermione tore open the envelope and read through it quickly.

Hermione,

Please allow me to explain what was going on at the game. Your Potions Master was trying to help that boy. I informed him that someone was going to attempt to jinx him, knowing that he meant a lot to you, and he said that he would try to keep him safe for you. I know that it was you who set his robes on fire. (nice trick by the way) I watched you run from the game and I wanted to explain that he wasn't trying to hurt him at all.

Please do not judge him, because of my actions. Severus is a good man. Really he is, and believe me that he would never have allowed anyone to hurt Harry.

I'm Sorry,

Romeo

Hermione wiped her tears and tucked the letter into her book, and then an idea came to her. Professor Snape knew who Romeo looked like and who he was. Without really thinking, she ran from the dormitory, and down the stairs. No one noticed her. She ran down corridor after corridor, trying to avoid Flitch.

She made it down to the dungeons and nearly toppled over as she knocked on the classroom door. The door flew open and there stood Snape, his robes still slightly burnt, and his eyes were puffy and red. "Who is he?" she asked simply, her voice about to crack. Professor Snape didn't move a single muscle. He seemed more like a statue. "Please tell me who he is."

"What are you talking about?" he asked her calmly, his voice quivering. Hermione felt her heart break.

"You know what I am talking about! I'm talking about my Romeo. Who is he?" she demanded, her voice shaking. She had never raised her voice to a teacher. His eyes widened, and stood over her.

"Don't you raise your voice to me, Miss Granger. It could very well be the last thing you ever do," he threatened. Tears began to roll down her cheeks. He moved aside, and she walked inside. He slammed the door behind him. "Miss Granger, do you know that by wandering the castle alone at night, you could've very well have gotten yourself hurt?"

Hermione did not turn to face him, she kept her back to him. Snape watched as her shoulders shook with her silent sobs. "Professor Snape, can I please go back to my commonroom now? I'm sure Harry and Ron have noticed that I've gone missing. For all you know, they are wandering the castle just to find me," she told him. She wasn't sure what angle he was playing at, but she was scared enough that she wanted to leave immediately, but he blocked her path to the door.

She heard Snape walk up behind her, and he placed his hand on her shoulder. "Miss Granger, I am sorry to have frightened you. I have been in a horrible mood since after the game, and I am being foolish for taking it out on you," he said kindly. "Please face me."

Hermione slowly turned her body and looked up at her professor. Tears were running down his cheeks. He truly was indeed sorry. Hesitantly, she reached out and wiped the fallen tears from his cheeks. "Don't cry, Professor Snape. It's okay," she said quietly. She felt her fingers tingle as she held her hand to his cheek. She brought her hand to her side, stepped closer to him, and wrapped her arms around his waist.

He was hesistant at first, but he returned her hug. He rubbed the back of her head slowly. He pulled away from her, moved aside, and said, "You may go now, Hermione. Please do not allow Flitch to find out that you have been wandering the castle alone." With that, Hermione left. She ran up the stairs and managed to get into her commonroom without being found by Flitch.
