The glistening coat of the creature shimmered were the sun light hit it and it's fine legs easily waded through the shallow sparkling waters of the stream. Her eyes followed the length of the stunning horses fine legs, to its race fit looking stomach, then to its beautiful, muscly, created neck. She wondered how such an expensive looking animal could of gotten out of its yard. And that's when her gaze rested on its head. She only just steadied herself when she realised it wasn't normal.....

The creature by now had made it to the other side of the bank and just stood there, watching her calmly. Alice gasped. The creature-she realised- was a-a UNICORN. It's long, silvery-golden horn sat in the middle of the beasts forehead. It was long and twisted, glittering in the sunlight, with a very sharp, pointed tip, that seemed to be pointed at Alice, who just gaped at the beautiful creature.

Alice-rubbing her eyes in disbelief- just stared at the creature, she did not, one tiny little bit, believe what she was seeing, it just could not be possible. She then decided to look over the creature once more, to try and convince herself her twisted mind was just playing one if it's usual tricks on her. It's pointed ears were facing sideways, showing relaxation and it was breathing quietly, a light mist out of its black muzzle. She then looked at its eyes, they were beautiful, nothing like she'd ever seen. They were blue, but a blue so pretty, the deep blue of a chalcanthite mineral. She felt as if she could see deep into its soul, and it stared back, she felt intimidated slightly by the sparkly creature. But she couldn't help but feel a pulling sensation, pulling her towards the mysterious creature. She wanted to ago touch it, she wanted to believe it was just a hillucination but she felt it were real.

As she slowly stepped closer, one step every 20 seconds, she started to feel a tingly sensation on her arms. She stopped a metre or so away from the creature that she had only heard in fairy tales, a fairy tale creature. She never thought or dreamed of seeing a REAL life unicorn, but she did, or she thought she did, maybe.

She stood there, her hand outstretched, as she gazed into its chalcanthite eyes. The beautiful creature was just out of her reach but she didn't mind, she just stood there not moving, still gazing right into its beautiful eyes. The creature shook its head and snorted and stretched its nose ever so slightly towards her hand. It's warm, misty breath touched the palm of her hand followed by its soft, prickly nose. In that beautiful moment, Alice giggled for the first time in years. Hot tears of joy leaked down her pale cheeks. The creature suddenly gave a small huff, spun on its hind legs and galloped away. It's silver mane and tail flowing behind it like the water in the stream. It took a small leap into the stream and water crystals bounced into the air.

Some water splashed on Alice's face and refreshed her, it was ice cold. By the time she wiped the water from her amber eyes the magical creature had just, vanished. She suddenly felt very alone and became aware of how late it was getting. It must of been about midday as the sun was shining brightly directly above her and she was suddenly aware of how hot it was. She wiped the sweat of her forehead and kicked off her shoes. She then walked slowly over to the water and stood ankle deep In it. The bottom of her ripped jeans were soaked now with water as she looked up at the sky and spun very slowly in a 360 degree circle and faced the way the horse had disappeared. It now felt hazy, as if it were a dream, but she kept telling herself it was real, it had to of been, she touched it, she ACTUALLy touched a fairy tale creature.

She slipped her tattered old jogger a back on and went back to the willow were she picked up her knife and held it by her side. She walked slowly back to her house, her heart filling with dread again as she remembered her horrible life, although she kept reminding herself there are people in more need of love and care than her, some people didn't even have shelter, food or water. So, she shouldn't complain, but she found it hard to keep herself together. She then remembered she had school the next day.
