"I like this one" we both said at the same time.
I looked at him with a sheepish grin to find him looking at me with the same expression.
"Its nice. Realistic and there's no inappropriate kissing or whatever," I blush a little.
"Plus, he's a great guy," I tell Reese.
"You know him?"
"Yeah, he's Lukas. Remember the guy to whom you gave that weird guy telepathic head nod to after your concert or whatever?" I say.
"Oh, oh yeah." He says and frowns a little, "so anyway, I was thinking to get another coffee. You want some?"
"Cold one, please. Thanks" I smile and pass over a 20 dollar bill to him.
He looks at it and frowns, "I've got this round," he tells me.
"Fair enough, " I shrug as I paid for the last round of drinks for both of us.
They were good. Yum.
In all honesty, Reese and I barely talked during our time here. One thing that's similar between us is that we both like peace while working so it isn't much of a hassle, actually.
"Hey, my name is Reese but you can call me tonight," Reese says as he places my cup next to my laptop.
I look up at him like he's crazy, "so, tonight, let's get to work." I smirk at my response.
"Now I know why the sky is so grey today, all the blue is in your eyes," he smiles smugly.
"My eyes are brown, moron." What even?
"Hey, so would you like coffee? Tea? Me?" He wiggles his eyebrows.
"How about a cup of shut the fu-" I was about to say but he interjected.
"Language, deary." He smirked.
"Deary?" I can't believe that word exists in his vocabulary.
"I like the word. I read it in Anne Frank," he sat down, opposite to me and our knees touched slightly.
"So you read too, huh, boy?" I tease him as I shut my laptop to take a well earned coffee break.
"Yes, ma'am." He mock salutes me and takes a sip of his what I'm assuming to be black coffee.
I take a sip of my cold coffee and lick the cream off of my lower lip and smile at the pleasant taste of the drink.
"You've got some on your upper lip too, Astrid." Reese points to his upper lip to tell me where I've got my coffee.
"Oops!" A tinge of embarrassment coats my cheeks and I wipe it away along with the coffee stain using a tissue.
Reese simply smiles at me.
"So you like Lukas, huh?" He asks, raising his eyebrow.
"What? I said no such thing. He's a good friend and that's all I think of him. Where'd you get the idea of me liking Lukas from?" I ask him.
"You ranted a good 30 seconds about that guy so.." He says and I think even he realised how stupid that sounded.
"Reese." I gave him a flat look.
"Okay, okay!" He smiles and puts up his hands in surrender, " who do you like then?"
"Alex Pettyfer, Jensen Ackles, Harry Styles, Tom Cruise also," I say sheepishly, "and Eric Dane and-"
"A, real life guys not fictional, 105457 miles, 40 year older guys who you have 0 percent chance with," he tell me with straight face.
"Then nobody," I don't hesitate in giving my answer because really, guys at my school are all dimwits. Either too much brain and no brawn or only brawn without much brain.
"Not even Dylan?" He asks.
Dylan is actually one of Reese's closest friends and let me tell you one thing about the guy; he's gorgeous.
Also, he's loaded to the neck.
Sadly, he left our school in 7th grade to join a Convent for Boys.Poor chap missing out on a possible relationship with me..
Haha.
Funny I am, aren't I?
"Dylan? Dylan as in Dylan who left school?" I try nonchalance.
"Yep, he's the one."
"He was good looking sure, in 7th grade but I don't remember much of him," I do an internal happy dance about how I smoothly sailed.
"Oh? Really?" Reese smirks at me.
"Okay, fine! Geez, I stalk his Facebook sometimes. And he's gorgeous. And no I do not like him because he has a girlfriend. How he managed to do that despite being in a Convent is beyond me," I roll my eyes at the last part.
I mean, I go to a public school and still have nobody and the guy goes to a freaking convent and still has his 'the one and the only' (his Facebook status)
