Just when you think that, everything is going on as planned, that uncontrollable event occurs; I call that a disaster'. I used to think that there are only independent and dependent people. Little did I know that we are all interdependent? We all need each other.

Sabin's POV

When a man meets a girl, he knows from the onset whether he wants to spend the rest of his life with her or not. I heard women have the same conviction. I want to be with Kaloa. If happily ever after exists, I want her to be my happily ever after.

I opened the door to my apartment and as I expected, Rohan was there. Of course, he let himself in! If it was a normal day I would have told him, dude I need my keys back, but having had drinks and the most romantic dance with Kaloa it does not constitute a normal day.

"Dude, where have you been? Been trying to call you for hours?" Rohan said in low tone.

"You know where I have been," I said throwing my car keys on the kitchen counter. "I should be asking what you are doing in my house." I said smiling and walking towards the lounge.

"I know," said Rohan. "But there is something I really need to tell you..." he said following me. His tone was still low.

"What's with the low tone?" I snapped.

As I walked into the lounge, all of a sudden everything clicked. On my own, I knew why all this time Rohan was speaking with his tone lowered. Man! I should have listened. I just stood there, I completely shut down, my face slack and I could not move. Colour drained from my face as I stared and my eyes were completely unfocused. My mind was blank and I was confused. Like a flood, questions began to flow.

"Baby..." Cyra said as she walked towards me and kissed me on the cheek. Man, what is going on? I asked myself but of course, nobody answered. Maybe I should have said it aloud.

Seated on my leather couch were Mr and Mrs Adelstein, my mum and dad on the other. They all seemed relaxed and I guess they were bonding.

"What's going on?" I whispered in Cyra's ears. She smiled. I swear I will scream if no one tells me what is going on. I do not like being kept in suspense. I like being in control. Moreover, Cyra called me 'baby', 'baby?' why would she call me that in front of both our parents.

"You must be surprised to see all of us here?" my mum said as she was hugging me. Enough of the affections, I said to myself. This is the part where you tell me why you are all here.

"You and I have a lot to talk about son." My dad said as I was greeting him.

"We all have" said Mr and Mrs Adelstein.

"How are you Mrs Adelstein, Mr Adelstein?" I said as I motioned to Cyra, "I am going to kill you!" She grinned. Whatever Cyra Adelstein was up to, I was pretty sure it will turn out evil.

"We have been trying to call you," my dad said. "You must have been very busy to not pick up even your mother's call." My dad said showing concern. He was right; I never missed a call from my mother.

"I was on a date." I said and everyone in the room broke into laughter.

"You have a sense of humour," Mrs Adelstein said.

"How about we talk about your date over dinner?" my dad supported Mrs Adelstein.

When I got into the house I was busy thinking about Kaloa that I did not even notice that there was a chef in my kitchen. Rohan was even helping him set up the table. Then I thought of her, my heart melted. Kaloa, my sweet Kaloa. I was determined to make her mine. Whatever we were going to talk about today, she had to be part of the plan or else I was not going be interested.
