Chapter 1 - Encounter

My first fanfic on this so here you go sorry if there are any spelling mistakes or lack of punctuation.I am dyslexic so it hard for me to put them in the right places and figure them out.

Rose's POV

Usually my normal day would consist of school, home, and then a stroll in the park but today was different... I had happened to be walking on the path when I saw him, Luke brooks. The thing that confused me was that he was in the park ,I had never seen him here before and I always took a walk to think about things and I guess that's what he was doing to because he looked lost in thought. I carried on walking but with my head down and he was walking towards me so I lowered my head more but then BANG!! We both collided

"Oh my gosh sorry "I said panicky

"No I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking" he said as he smiled

"No I wasn't looking where I was going it's my fault" I said worried

"Don't worry about it and I think I know you from some where is it school ? "He asked

"Yeah I'm in a couple of your classes" I replied with a tiny smile on my face, I was shocked to think he actually knew that I existed.

"oh yeah cool" he said with a smile his smile was amazing I could look at it all day." erm do you want to join me on my walk" he said with a grin.

"ermmm yeah sure I'd love too" I said looking down shyly I looked back up and we started walking .We walked and talk until we got to the water fountain, then we stopped and sat on the side of the fountain.

"Your different from all the other girls, you didn't fan girl or scream when you saw me, you ...you were calm" he said shocked.

"Oh don't get me wrong I'm a really big fan I'm just too shy to scream and fan girl" I said laughing.

"You're really smart too, I can have an actually conversation with you" he said with a smile.

"thank you, you're not too bad yourself" I laughed then sighed, he laughed then smiled

"so...do you want to grab a smoothie or something ?" he asked looking at his phone, he had a text I happened to see what it said and who it was from, it was from his girlfriend trinity and it said -hey come over Luke- but he ignored it and put his phone back in his pocket

"yeah but I haven't got any money with me, my purse it at home" I said a little worried he stood up then took my hand and pulled me up gently and then he smiled.

" it's okay I got it" so we walked out of the park laughing and joking "do you want to go to Jessie's smoothies ?" he said looking at his phone again, it must have been another text from his girlfriend but he blanked it again and looked back at me the smiled

" why don't you answer her?" I asked he looked at me there was a moment of silence

" I don't know she just gets on my nerves sometimes and she's to clingy and anyway I'm here with you and I'm not going to rudely leave" he said a little angrily I looked down

"I'm sorry" I replied he noticed that I was a little upset he grabbed my hand

"no no I'm sorry I shouldn't have snapped at you Rose you didn't mean anything by it, it's just I have a short temper like really short" he held my hand tighter "It's just your different I'd like to get to know you more so we can be ... Friends" he looked at me and smiled

"It's alright Luke" I smiled then let go of his hand" and yeah I'd love to be friends" we finally got to Jessie's smoothies then we walked in

Luke's POV

'Why oh why did I snap at her I thought to myself 'maybe I can make it up to her now' we walked through the doors of Jessie's smoothies,I looked for a place for us to sit, there was a table in the corner for two so I pointed at it.

"How about there?" I asked

"Okay Then" she said ,we walked over to the chairs and both took a seat "I've never been here before" she smiled she looked around her eyes scanning everything then they stopped on theses little strawberries they were blue with light blue glitter on them they were stuck all on the counter, her face lit up "ohh wow they are so beautiful" she looked back at me "so what are you ordering?"

"The strawberry smoothie I think" I said looking at the menu board with a squint.

"We'll I'll have mango" she replied squinting her eyes to make fun of me we both laughed, I got up to order them I got to the counter then ordered as I was waiting I glanced back at Rose she was sitting there looking peaceful, calm and beautiful I didn't know why she had such an effect on me she made me feel, relaxed and she made me feel special and I didn't even know why. I would never usually start talking to random strangers but when she bumped into me and I saw her face my heart skipped a beat I swear.

"sir, excuse me sir " I turned around it was the cashier

"oh sorry" I took the drinks over "miss me" I laughed

"Yeah sure why not" she said with a laugh,her laugh was sweet it was gentle and calm, she took her smoothie and tasted it "wow this is amazing" she said then she took another sip

"Their great here aren't they" I said smiling then I took a sip of mine

"Defo" she said lifting her head up then she jumped a little because her phone had scared her, her ring tone went off and it was Justin Bieber ~ fall then she answered it 'hello....I'm out....oh okay but....fine I'm coming' (phone call) "Luke I'm SO sorry I have to go ,my mom wants me back to help her out at home" she sighed

"Oh okay then" I smiled ,I didn't want her to go but of course she had too. She got up and placed her bag on her shoulder  "I hope I'll see you again Rose" I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her, as she pulled off she gave me a warm smile, Then watched her walk off into the night. After a good five minutes I realised it was the school holiday and it was six weeks before school ,where I would see her again "oh crap "I said to myself, I ran out of Jessie's smoothies to go ask Rose for her number but I couldn't see her she had sort of disappeared. I kicked the wall, how was I stupid enough to forget to ask for her number I walked home back through the park. She was on my mind the rest of that day and I didn't even know why.
