*Three years later *
Today June seventeenth , is my birthday; twenty-one now. I sit up in a daze and check my phone. Nothing. Usual , nothing from my parents considering I have no idea where they are. As soon as I turned eighteen, they left , and they gave me enough money to get a small apartment at the edge of town. Making me drive for miles in my crappy beat up Ford Ranger. Today being my birthday my best friend Samantha wanted to take me out and we would have a 'best friends day' as she called it. "Oh boy" I mutter to myself " Today should be" pausing looking for the word " fun."
