I woke up in a haze. It took a while for me to realize what happened.
I noticed that we were back at our original camp station. I saw Kanan roasting chicken over the burning ship.
My leg felt better, at least for now. When I looked at it, almost half the hole in my leg was filled in again.
" What about the fuel from the ship? It will kill us if we eat it. "I said.
" I checked, all the fuel is burned up. I also used the force to clear any remaining fuel away. " He replied with a sigh.
I was overwhelmed by the smell of food. But at the same time I thought I would die of thirst. I hadn't had food or water in two days. And I've not gotten that good of sleep. It turns out I was sleeping for eight hours. But due to all the sticks and stones. I had a very sore back.
" Do you have any water? " I asked weakly.
" Yeah, it's over there. " He replied pointing at a bucket of fresh water between to huge oak trees.
" Where did you get this? " I asked.
" I found a nearby lake, it's fresh as can be. "
I drank some more. Or should I say, I drank until the bucket was half empty. The bucket was made of wood. So I was careful not to get a sliver. After all, the bucket looked like it was made by chopper. Our droid friend and the most annoying git in the entire galaxy.
" Chickens done, eat up! " Kanan said.
I ate and ate and ate and ate until I couldn't eat anymore. I wondered how Kanan got the chicken. Then I felt stupid, of course! He can easily just use the force to pull the chicken to his hand.
The thought of a chicken flying through the air into someone's hand made me laugh.
But then I grew very tired. Part of it was from being so full. And the other part was probably because I hadn't gotten that good of sleep these last few days. One thing was for sure though, I was not gonna sleep on the ground again! So, I climbed a small tree just high enough to get a sturdy branch. Then, I took a vine and wrapped it around me, I fell asleep without any problems at all.
