| This ain't no fairy tale, and I'm no Beauty |
Back when I was younger, bout sixteen, this older boy came into town. He wuz round two years older than me.
Now this boy was handsome as hell, and I mean it. Other than girls swarming around him like flies to honey, he had a certain aura of, well, evil.
But I was a silly young girl and got fascinated by him. "Oh he's so bad!" I thought. "It's so alluring!"
I followed him around like a little puppy, bidin' my time, waiting for the right moment to pounce.
Well the right moment came.
It was late after school, and I had stayed back to work in the library. I have a fondness of books so I didn't mind all too much.
But when I walked outside, there stood Ben in all his darkly mysterious glory.
I immediately dropped everything I had in my arms.
The sound made ole Ben abruptly turn. He walked over to me and knelt down. I expected him to reach for a book but he sure didn't.
He placed his hand on my toffee coloured skin and pierced my eyes with his electrical blue ones.
"Grace, isn't it?"
I nodded my head slowly, wondering how he knew my name but completely enchanted by him.
He stood up then held out his right hand. I slipped mine into it, and he gently lifted me up. He then squeezed my hand and smiled at me.
I nearly had a heart attack, I did.
That was how our friendship was born.
Ben and I later became incredibly close. We used to hang out everyday after school for the rest of the year. I got to know him, met his folks once. They were great people, but a little odd. I made no notice if it though.
Then in the last week Ben took me to a park near our school. We'd gone there together before, so I didn't think much of it, but this time it seemed different. He was so careful with me, like I was a glass doll. He smiled so gently. My heart was all a flutter but I brushed it off.
Well, ole Ben led me to this place where all the trees grew tall and in a circle. I marvelled at them, why the last time I'd been they hadn't been this big!
Ben just smiled and pulled me close. I remember exactly how he looked and how it felt when he pressed his lips gently against mine. I could've sworn I faintly heard music playing as he passionately kissed me. But then I only smiled into the kiss, because maybe dreams do come true.
But then, so can nightmares.

Oooooooooo, kind of a cliffhanger!
Don't worry, I'll update this soon. Or maybe I'll just leave it here forever.
Just kidding, I'm not that harsh.
