"I'm going to take you to jail Salamander."

" Oh but before you do that, let me introduce myself. My name is Natsu Dragneel."

Natsu stared at Lucy with an amused smirk that made Lucy want to punch him in the face. But Lucy needed to keep her cool or else she would do something reckless. 'If I keep him distracted, it might give me some time until back up arrives' she thought. She knew that Natsu was stronger than her. It was obvious since she could feel his magic energy a mile away. But she had smarts on her side so after much thought, she considered them "evenly matched".

Natsu walked slowly to the blonde who was lost in thought. Once she looked up, Natsu was a few feet away from her. She jumped back to increase the space between them. Natsu looked rather amused. He found Lucy 'adorable and fiesty'. He heard stories about the blonde. She once took out an entire pirate crew by herself. He didn't know what he felt about her but one thing was certain, he wanted her.

Lucy drew her sword from her sheath. Natsu did the same. But instead of a regular sword, fire swirled around the blade increasing its defensive and offensive power. Lucy wasn't surprised, let alone fazed. She knew that whom she was up against wasn't to be taken lightly. Thankfully for her, her sword came from the celestial spirit world so hers and Natsu's swords were on par.

Natsu and Lucy stared into each other's eyes, daring one another to make the first move. Natsu slightly moved his right foot causing Lucy to move her right foot as well. Both charged each other at the same time. And in less than a second, both were struggling to push one another sword away from his/her grasp. Natsu was amazed. No one (except for Erza) had ever been on par with him. Natsu smirked which made the blonde irritated.
Lucy glided her sword upwards, trying to send Natsu's sword flying in the air. But Natsu saw what she was doing and he quickly countered her move. Both then jumped back to their respected places as before. Just before they could clash again, Levy came running to Natsu's aid. She wasn't wearing her sea police uniform but instead was wearing her regular pirate clothes. Lucy looked at her former best friend in confusion, shock and anger. Levy, her best friend for almost three years now, was really a pirate? And not just any pirate, but a pirate apart of the Fairy Tail crew. And Natsu was her captain.

Lucy's bangs covered most of her face. But if you could see Lucy's eyes, you would shiver in fear. Levy knew what her best friend was feeling. Sadness and guilt hit Levy like a brick wall.

"Lu-chan I-" Levy was cut off by none other than Lucy.

" Get away from me and I never want to see you for as long as I live!" Lucy seethed. She turned away and began walking away from the two pirates. Lucy felt betrayed. She told Levy her back story, including her father. Lucy was tired of all the lies. She got on her magi-cycle and headed back to HQ.

Natsu and Levy watched as Lucy disappeared. Levy knew that she forever lost a best friend. No, to be exact, her only best friend. "Don't worry Levy. Lucy is gonna be your best friend again real soon."

"Natsu.....Lu-chan won't even get probably more than 100 feet from me now. How the heck is she gonna be my best friend again?" Levy asked with confusion in her voice. Natsu smirked down to the bluenette.

"Because Luce is gonna be a fairy. Or to be more precise...she's gonna be mine."
