Rebecca is currently hyperventilating next to me as Cameron smiles serenely down at us.
"Are you following me?" I ask, peering suspiciously up at him.
"Sophie!" Rebecca groans from next to me. "Don't be rude."
Cameron seems to have just noticed she is there and immediately he smiles at her, his dimples causing a major internal battle within my head.
"Who's this?" he asks, smiling at Rebecca.
"I'm Rebecca. But you can call me Becca. Most of my friends do."
"I have never called you that." I say, but she doesn't seem to hear me. Her eyes are still glued to Cameron's bare chest. Perv.
"I'm a huge fan, I love your music."
She's so creepy. Why am I friends with her? This can't be the same girl I let myself be seen in public with.
"Well I'm very glad to hear that." he says, grinning. Yeah I bet you are.
To be honest I've never heard any of his songs. Whenever Rebecca tried to get me to listen to one I would threaten to call the police and tell them that a strange girl was in my house asking for drugs. It usually did the trick.
"So where are you guys staying?" he asks as if genuinely curious. Probably so he can continue following me around, like the lowkey stalker that he is.
"Sophie and I are staying up there. Our cabins are right next to each other." She says, pointing back towards the path.
"Why don't we just give him our room keys while we're at it." I grumble. Rebecca glares at me while Cameron just laughs. I'm struggling to decide how I feel about that laugh.
"Well I'm staying a few cabins down that way. Seems we'll be seeing a lot more of each other huh?" He says with a mischievous grin. I hear Rebecca suppress a squeak. I guess I can understand why. That guy knew how to smile. But so does a chimp.
"I look forward to it." I say in a way that clearly sounded as if I'd rather go cliff diving into a pool of acid, accompanied with a falsely sweet smile. He grins and chuckles softly. Does he not realize how much he annoys me? Am I not making myself clear? I really am trying.
"Soapie who is dat?" Ember asks me, poking my shoulder repeatedly. Cameron looks over to where Ember is sitting, a small smile on his face.
I sigh. "Ember this is Cameron. Cameron, Ember."
"Well hello there." he says in a friendly voice. "Nice to meet you Ember."
"Do you wanna help me build my castle?" She asks immediately, not even acknowledging his greeting, simply beaming at him like he's just the coolest thing she ever did see. Which is rude. I'm sitting right here, Ember. Right here.
He seems a bit taken aback by her straightforward request and looks at me as if silently asking permission. I roll my eyes, but I can't help a tiny amused smile from turning up the corners of my mouth. He takes that as a 'yes' and plops down next to Ember.
I look over to see where Bree and Lottie went off to. I groan when I finally find them. Bree isn't even watching Lottie, just taking a million selfies on her phone. Didn't she get that taken away for flipping me off?
"What is it?" Rebecca asks me with concern on her face.
"Lottie is going to drown herself and Bree is just taking selfies." I grumble, glaring at Bree as she puts up a 'hang ten' sign and sticks out her tongue. Pathetic."Um, Sophie?" Rebecca's says tentatively.
"What?" I say, still busy glaring at Bree.
"Where exactly is Lottie?"
