I had fallen asleep the instant I collapsed on my bed. What seemed like minutes later, I woke up with Rebecca draped over the end of the large bed, sound asleep.

I'll be honest, it took me a second to remember where I was or what Rebecca was doing here. But it all began trickling back.

On the way back from the beach, Lottie fell asleep on my shoulder, the excitement at the lake finally catching up to her. I had posted Bree outside her door, just in case she woke up from a nightmare or something.

Checking the clock, I see
it's almost 5:30 in the evening. As if on cue I hear foot steps coming up the stairs to the loft.

My mother appears and makes her way over to the bed. Of course my instinct is to close my eyes and pretend to be asleep.

"I hope you know how bad you are at that." my mother whispers.

"Shut up" I groan.

"You shut up." a muffled voice says near my feet, and all of a sudden a pillow hits me square in the face. I push Rebecca off the bed with my feet, appreciating the satisfying thump she makes as she lands roughly on the floor.

"Why you little—"

"Well girls I hate to interrupt this siesta, but we've got dinner reservations at 6:45. There's a lovely little lake-side restaurant here on the resort so dress nice."

With that, she leaves us to groggily wake up enough to get ready.

"Oh my god Soph I had the best dream." Rebecca mumbled, stretching rather unattractively on the floor.

"Cameron Finch was at the beach and he wasn't wearing a shirt."

"Sounds more like a nightmare." I say grabbing a cute navy sundress.

"Yeah sure. Don't think I didn't see the way you checked him out. I also came up with a joke."

"I don't even want to—"

"What did the female beaver say to the male beaver when he proposed?" she says, ignoring my protests.

"Don't know and honestly don't care."

"About DAM time." she says, and then proceeds to laugh like an intoxicated hyena.

I step on her stomach on my way to the bathroom, grinning as her "laughter" turned turns into a rather psychotic wheeze.

"I hate you." she groans.

"Love you too." I say, closing the door behind me.

Twenty minutes later I had washed the lake smell out of my skin, lightly curled my hair and applied a bit of makeup.

It took several attempts to drag Rebecca to the bathroom, as she had fallen asleep again and refused to move.

Finally she was awake enough to bathe and put on a white lace tank top with some cute, black, high-waisted shorts.

"Alright let's get this show on the road. Do you think I'll see my lovely Hawaiian Prince?"

I groan and chuck a pillow at her face. She catches it easily, smirking at my weak attempt to cause her harm.

"No? Well what about you and the handsome Mr. Finch?" she says winking at me.

"I need another pillow. So I can smother you."
