First off, I just wanted to apologize to any person that thought this was another chapter: I'm sorry.

I've just been thinking about something.  This has been nagging me, constantly a thought in the back of my brain.

Someone commented on this story a while ago--I'm sorry I can't remember the username--suggesting I write a sequel to this book.

Me being my usual self thought: but I have no ideas!  I don't want it to be just another one of those boring books that tells you about the characters' perfect life--Dad works a nine to five job, comes home to his perfect housewife and two beautiful children, and literally has no flaws whatsoever.

Or maybe it would be about a 72-year-old father who takes his kids to soccer every morning and does nothing else but eat peanut brittle on Wednesday afternoons.

Yeah, those kind of stories.

I wanted it to be something interesting.  I kept thinking to myself: maybe if I added some sort of plot twist, I can intrigue the readers.  Maybe if Joe and Charlie's relationship gets rocky?  Or maybe something horrible happens to Charlie?  Maybe certain feelings arise in all of the characters?

But then I realized that that was too overused.

I just can't seem to think of any ideas!

Curse my brain for not having the ability to come up with eye-catching, intriguing storyline for a sequel!

So, I wanted to sort of hold a contest? I'm not sure if anyone will enter this, but I hope you guys do.  I want to see if any one of you could help me with the storyline.  I really want to write a sequel--because lets be honest...The Kings of Summer is awesome, and it's hard for me to stop getting TKOS feels.

Anyway, if any of you lovely people have any ideas for a sequel, feel free to either comment on this chapter or send me a direct message!

I will decide a winner, and I will make sure to give you full credit for the storyline if/when I write the story.

So, um, yeah.  That's about it.  Thank you guys for reading this chapter, even though it was probably boring af.

Also, I know I say this way too much, but thank you for reading!  You guys are amazing!

xoxo
