"Hello?"
Louis walked into the dark house, the only light source being a few lit candles here and there around the area. Louis looked to his left and saw a wall full of dusty pictures, and looking to his right, Louis saw the same thing. Straight ahead, there are a long spiral of oak wood steps that leads to the second story of the ominous house. Louis spoke again.
"Hello? Anyone here?"
There was some movement in the flames of the candles, but the petite man didn't think anything of it. As he took more cautious steps towards the staircase, a loud, booming voice hollered at him. "You should not be here!"
Louis gasped and jumped at the sudden uproar, pulling his hoodie around himself tighter as if it'd protect him. "I-I'm sorry. I just saw this house and it see-seemed emp-"
"LEAVE!"
Louis screeched and spun around to run out of the creeky front door, not bothered to close it behind him. When Louis thought he was a safe distance away from the house and the stranger, he looked back, his chest rising and falling as he breathed heavily. In the still agape door he exited, there stood a tall figure, their features being hidden by a dark shadow.
All Louis saw, though, was piercing jade eyes as they stared into his soul.
