You turned to me
You looked at me
I took a deep breath
"She misses being buddies and wanted to be again like the old days"
I said that looking straight ahead of me
Not looking at you
I couldn't look at you
You instantly smiled
Oh, how I miss those smiles
"Oh really?"
"Yep." I put emphasis on the p.
"That was like, in the 7th grade!"
I looked at you this time
You had the biggest smile on your face
You were shuffling some papers around
"Yeah..." I looked down at the ground.
The bell rang.
You opened your mouth to say something
You immediately closed it
I held my breath
6 months
I finally heard you voice talking to me.
