Chapter 4

Says, " If what you say is true! " he pauses and looks at me, " She mortal, but nothing can hurt her." I ask," How? Wait what? No! She couldn't be." He replys," She's a very special type of breed!" I ask," How? What kind of breed?" He explains," See theres only four born every one-thousand years. They're human. They eat normal food,they sleep,and they age. " I ask, " So what's so special about them?" He replys," There a shield." I ask," A shield? What's that?" He explains," See how you and your sisters powers don't work on her ?" I reply, " Yea, why? " he adds, " Well no power can hurt her, or make her do anything." I reply, " So she's a shield." He replys," Exactly." I go upstairs , head to April's room, " April , I found out why our powers don't work on Jessica." April asks, " Really, why? Is she a vampire too? " I explain," No, she's a mortal, but nothing can hurt her or cause her to do something. She's a shield." April replies," so no vampire powers work on her ?" I answer," Nope, not one." April asks, " Should we tell her ?" I reply, " No. We can't, then she's going to ask why I can read minds, and why you can control people with your mind." April replies, " That's true."
*Beep Beep* I get a text, I don't know whose number it is.

Unknown: Hey (:
Jason: Hi, whose this ?
Unknown: Its me , Jessica. From school.
Jason: Oh, hey. How did u get my number?
Jessica: I have my ways (;
Jason: lol well is there something you needed?
Jessica: I want to see you, meet me at the park in 30 minutes (: ❤
Jason: ok, see you later

I run to my room, take a quick shower, brush my teeth, comb my hair, and change. In total, it took me about 2 minutes. I'm a vampire, I have super speed. So I walked to the park. I was 10 minutes early, she was too. I see her and she notices me . She smiles and starts walking towards me. She had a short red dress on, with some black low-top vans, her hair was curled, her lips where bright red, and to me she looked like an angel. She walks over to me, " Hey Jason, you look very handsome " I smile and reply," Thank you. You look very beautiful yourself love." She giggled and replied, " Thank you."
We took a walk around the park, it was very peaceful. She holds my hand and asks, " Why is your skin always so cold?" I reply," I guess my skin got so used to the weather in Colorado" she laughs and we just keep walking. We sit at a table , she turns to me and says," I like you Jason." I turn to her, smile, and reply, " I like you too Jessica." She smiles and hugs me.

Time passes by quick, its about to get dark. I tell her, " Its getting dark, I think we should get going before it gets late." She smiles and replies, " Ok, I'll see you in school Jason." As she's walking away, I grab her hand , spin her to where she's faceing me , pull her close, and kiss her. She smiles and says," I've been waiting for that this whole time." I smile," How do you get home ?" She smiles ," I walk home silly." I explain, " Its late and its getting really dark, how far do you live ?" She replies," Like about 3 to 4 Blocks away, but I'll be fine." I reply," Well if anything happens , call me. Also call me as soon as you get home." She replies in a serious ,sarcastic voice," Yes, Sir." I laugh and respond," I'm serious Jessica!" She hugs me tight and replies," I will Jason." I hug her back, I watch her leave. She disappears into the corner, I jump on top of the tree and swing tree to tree, watching her get home safely.

At a far distance I see three guys walking towards Jessica. I get closer, I'm on top of a building looking down on them. There going straight for each other , they start yelling at her, " Hey little momma!" , " Come here really quick!" , " Don't make me go get you.". I see Jessica turn around and starts walking away from them. The guys run up to her and start blocking her way around. A guy pins her against the wall and says," Give me a kiss baby!". I Jump down , grab the first guy and swing at him. The second guy runs up behind me and trys to grab me, but I duck ,elbow him in the stomach,and uper- cut his jaw. The third guy pulls out a knife and tries to stab me ,but I grab his hand, bend his wrist and straight punch his face and knock him out. I turn around and see Jessica, " Are you ok? Did they hurt you?" She replies, "No , I'm fine. How did you get here so fast? Where did you learn how to fight like that? You move so fast, I couldn't even see you." I grab her and reply," Come on, let's take you home. Where do you live ?" She pulls her hand away and says," No. You tell me right now Jason. How did you do all that? How can you move so fast, its like the speed of light?" I look at her , and say," its just fighting, and probably you thought I moved really fast but you where just in shock Jessica." She argues," No. I know what I saw Jason." I interrupt, " And what exactly did you see Jessica? Me fighting, that's it." She replies," You moved super fast, you jumped down from that building. There's something your not telling me Jason." I reply, " Look your probably just tired, you need some rest. Come on , where's your house at?" She pushes me out the way," Move away from me. If your not going to tell me then don't bother speaking to me!" I walk behind her. We walk for about 15 minutes and we finally reach her house, as she walk towards the door I yell, " Goodnight , sweet dreams Jessica. " she slams the door shut.
I turn around and go home, it took me about two minutes just to get there. I open the door, go upstairs , get in my room, and lay down. Five minutes pass and April walks in, " So how was the date?" I reply, " Horrible!" April ask," Why? What happened ?" I tell April everything that happened. I ask her, " You think I should tell her ? " April replies," I don't know. " April gets up walks to my door and says, " Everything's going to be fine Jason." She turns off the lights and closes the door. I grab my phone and text Jessica

Jason: Hey, I hope your not mad at me no more. If you don't want to hear from me no more, I'll understand. Goodnight Beautiful.

I hook up my phone to the charger and place it on my night stand. I take off my shoes, my shirt, and my pants. I lay down, grab the blanket and pull it over my head. I close my eyes and whisper to myself, " Would it be best just to tell her ? Or should I just leave her alone. I wonder how she's going to react tomorrow. Well, we'll see."
